right, the pitt fandom. here's your challenge: reblog a post about baran al-hashimi that has nothing at all to do with ai and DON'T mention how you'd like her if she only ditched her pro-ai stance. 90% of you will fail this challenge.

Girls. Gays. Theys. Hucklerobby is a crackship. We made it up. It was a joke from the beginning of âhey Robby sure does seem to have a favorite what if it was a psychosexual obsession too?â In no way is Noah Wyle âbaitingâ anyone. Robbyâs blatant favoritism of Whitaker is an attempt to mould a new Langdon, a new golden boy, instead of looking to the already talented team of women that he already has and belittles. If he wasnât so caught up in his unconscious misogyny, heâd have taken Mohan or McKay (most likely Mohan, as theyâre the most similar) under his wing and raised her up as his âmost trusted Physicianâ until he had a worthy successor that he felt confident leaving the Pitt to, but he wanted a White Man so he chose a R1 that only just graduated and wonât be ready for years. Thatâs the point. Anything past that we were just playing with dolls. Do not let the lure of problematic age gap gay sex get in the way of seeing the story for what it is.
i feel like when santos says âyou should be in prisonâ sheâs not LITERALLY saying âaddicts should be incarcerated this is my fleshed-out political perspective la la laâ sheâs saying âhey dude recognise the grace youâve been given and the privilege that props up that graceâ if that makes sense. itâs more a response to the fact that she feels he isnât recognising the weight of what has happened, in a way, or the kindness sheâs done him. she feels he believes he has a right to the way he was treated when in reality it was way outside the norm. her reaction was also emotional, made worse by her shitty day and her history with (powerful) men. not saying sheâs totally in the right but this phrase in particular is being misinterpreted a LOT, sheâs not making a statement on the criminalisation of drug use OR carceral punishment guys
"queerbait" and its a show about burnout in medical settings
Watch people start hating on Al Hashimi for switching up on Langdon instead of hating on Robby for wanting to throw Langdon in a meat grinder while obviously being a major source of the pressure that drove him to addiction and failing to support him before during or after his rehab and making Langdonâs recovery/return all about himself

coming off of this week's episode of the pitt, i think there's a lot to say regarding how race is handled in this show. from the patients to the providers to the visitors, they attempt to explore how race influences each person's interaction with the healthcare system. however, these storylines are often cut short or dominated by the white characters who are also involved. it's typical of popular tv shows that are created by white men, but we should still call it out.
for concrete examples of what they should do, they need to bring a black doctor back into the main cast. they need to actually knock ogilvie down a few notches instead of just showing him actively shortchanging joy's education and making javadi seem unprofessional for competing with him. louie's death could've been handled better if langdon or robby was the primary, and if the primary physician was still going to be whitaker, they need to delve into a story about the unconsious biases he has.
i don't think anyone really expects this show to be perfect, but for a show that prides itself on accuracy and portraying those who slip through the cracks, the creators have to do better at writing meaningful stories about race that don't end up foregrounding white characters instead.
ngl i kind of would rather die than see the pitt try to "handle" an ICE storyline considering their previous stances on police & military ďżź
People have started wagging their finger so much about babyshark I feel the need to defend fandom and check out the ao3 tag
