Hey! I wanted to indulge you on the art ask thing. Apologies in advance if this is a lot, you reserve the right to ignore any one of them if they make you uncomfortable - I'm curious what you'd say to 3, 7, 9, 12, 17, or 23?
3 - What's your least favorite thing about your style?
Oh that's a tough one... Hm... Well, and this is a kind of yes kind of no least favorite thing so bear with me here. (This is a tough question since I technically have a few different styles) I am content with the line art I generally do but I kind of wish I could do thinner lines. Not that I don't like my thick lines but there are days I wish I could do thinner ones. Hope that makes sense.
Babs being adorbs. (It's for a short comic I'm working on for To Who Knows Where)
9 - Show us a finished piece right alongside the original sketch.
12 - Show us an old drawing.
If you insist. XD Lemme show you one from over a decade ago.
This was drawn around 2010. I've improved a lot since then when it comes to drawing these two. (And art in general. Fun fact on this one: The line art was done with sharpie on paper.)
17 - What do you love getting compliments about?
I love when people compliment my detailing on characters. Be it their clothes, facial expressions, hair, you name it. (Heck this applies to when people compliment the backgrounds.) I dunno, just makes me happy when I see that my hard work has paid off in drawing uber detailed stuff.
23 - What's something you hope people notice when looking at your art?
I always hope people notice small things that hint at story elements or themes. I always have a habit of leaving in small things be it on characters or the background that serve as foreshadowing or adding to themes. (Trauma Center is stuffed full of them.) Honestly makes me smile any time someone notices. ;) Let's me know they're paying attention and taking everything in.
