Dragons for the PJO characters
Basically which dragon i think the pjo characters would have and why. Also, i'm assuming most people in the pjo fandom aren't that deep into the httyd fandom, i could be wrong, but either way, that's why i explain quite a bit in this.
⚡️Jason Grace - Skrill A skrill is basically the poster child of lightning dragons and also one of the coolest. It's a very fast dragon that can pick up on behavior and patterns pretty quickly too. There is pretty much no better dragon for Jason
🌊Percy Jackson - Sandwraith I'm not actually satisfied with the one i picked for Percy, because the sandwraith is kind of lacking in anything really noteworthy. I wanted a water dragon for him, for obvious reasons, but it also can't be one that's in the water all the time, for also, obvious reasons. So it's either a sandwraith or a fanmade water dragon or a Deadly Nadder, which also wouldn't be that bad for him tbh.
🌾Grover Underwood - Rumblehorn A Rumblehorn is a big ass dragon that can track anyone to anywhere. It's also a pretty smart dragon that's able to avoid traps set up by humans. All these traits make him a pretty good dragon for Grover, seeing how in canon Grover was tasked with finding lost demigods.
🐉Frank Zhang - Deathgripper Now hear me out on this one, there were quite a few options that would fit Frank, but in the end i just thought the deathgripper was the best/coolest choice for him. The other options for Frank were the Crimson Goregutter and the Rumblehorn. Both of which are pretty big dragons, the crimson goregutter being the biggest of the three. But i didn't just want to give him a big dragon. In canon Frank supposedly has a lot of animal knowledge (i saw supposedly because i haven't actually finished reading HOO), so i thought he'd be the best one to tame such a temperamental dragon and actually be able to treat it well.
🔥Leo Valdez - Singetail There are two reason i chose the singetail for Leo, one of them being the fact that this dragon can quite literally shoot fire out of every area. And i mean that literally. Mouth, duh, but also, chest area, armpits, butt (i think), just every area. That paired with its eyes that can see all around it means you are never sneaking up on this dragon. The second reason was the eyes, which are derpy ass hell.
🦉Annabeth Chase - Stormcutter It's basically the owl dragon. Like seriously, there was no better pick. It's smart, perceptive, looks dope ass hell. What other dragon would make this much sense for Annabeth.
💠Hazel Levesque - Haven't actually made a concrete choice for Hazel I'd love to give her a dragon that kinda matches her powers, but there's only one that kind of comes close and that's only because it's shiny and that's a Razorwhip. It's a fast dragon, very loyal, and really perceptive. They're also sharp as fuck. I'd love for Hazels dragon to be a boulder class, sharp or mystery, but idk. The other options for Hazel were: - Dramilion (pretty and smart, also very unique with different type of shots) - Sentinel (blind, rocky and gothic) - Catastrophic Quaken (Creepy, rocky and gothic) - Whispering/Screaming Death (poster child of creepy dragons)
🪶Piper McLean - Triple Stryke Unique dragon that doesn't border on the fem side since she has a hard time coming to terms with her femininity and what that truly means for her. It's also cool as hell.
🌩️Thalia Grace - Thunderdrum Hard headed, stubborn, and loyal. Am i talking about Thalia or the dragon? Both actually. That's why i think it suits her so well.
💨Luke Castellan - Haven't really made a decision. I think a monstrous nightmare would suit him best, but that's purely based on vibes and not much else, so i really don't know with him.
💀Nico di Angelo - Boneknapper Giant, creepy ass dragon that's covered in bones. It basically wrote itself tbh.
🐺Bianca di Angelo - Razorwhip This is because i wanted Bianca to be a wing maiden. Wing maidens are a tribe of women in the httyd lore that help raise baby razorwhips away from the fathers, because the fathers have a tendency to eat the baby's. Its a way to make sure the razorwhip species doesn't die out.
