I had a thought about Pinecone, it’s gotta be hard to be a little baby and the only mother you have is okay with essentially being picked apart and dying by her own people’s hands , meaning YOU are essentially destined to suffer and die with her. I would not be running or playing or dreaming of a future. Why would you plan so far ahead? Why? You love your rider but you are just so sad she is essentially passively suicidal. So when she gets excited and sees something good something that makes her forget about her suicidal mission and makes her feel alive you absolutely jump to protect it , swallowing a key is easy.
