This view of a Rat Rod Deluxe really shows off the great custom hardware from @armadilloguitar. Brass chopped bridge and set of heavy knurled dome knobs, also in brass. Another shot of @tomgibson3783’s #Pinecaster #partscaster with accoutrements by @tksmithguitar and @embieconcepts as well as an armrest crafted by ol’ Tom hisself. The #guitar is posed in front of my blackstack (‘65 #Vibrolux Reverb and Tom’s ‘66 #SuperReverb) which is running in stereo out of my vintage #Boss #DD3. Thanks to @msr10000 I am now running both of the stereo signals into the same channel on each #amp (in this case you can see both leads are plugged into the left channel on each amp. In last night’s shot of the #Gretsch #6119, I had one plugged into the left and the other plugged into the right channel). Apparently the number of stages the signal passes through in the left channel is one less than in the right channel. So what? Well each stage inverts the signal, so if one signal gets inverted twice and the other gets inverted three times, then one amp will be out of phase with the other one, and that means signal cancelling. I don’t think this was an issue for me because I was delaying one of the signals - so the amps were getting the same signal but at different times - however, just to play it safe, I have now plugged both inputs into the same channel in each amp! 😀 #fender #telecaster #teletuesday #tele #guitars #amps #amplifiers #vintageguitars #vintageamps #fenderamps #tone #guitargear #guitarsdaily #guitarsofinstagram #geartalk #guitarsdaily #fendersofinstagram #guitarphotography #ampphotography

Here's one for the humbucker fans. Rat Rod Custom outfitted with a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates. I'll admit to a bias for single coils but the combination of this pickup, a thin reclaimed pine body, custom hardware, and stripped down controls is pretty tough to beat. Super thin black dye finish accents the body grain and the hand applied neck finish is so comfy.
