This is taken on Blind Lake in Pinckney Recreation Area. I worked for the DNR there, and this was one of our annual canoe trips that got us out so we could tell everybody that came through the park our thoughts on where to go. I looked forward to this every year!
Blind Lake is an unnatural blue color, and it’s because it doesn’t get circulated like the rest of the lakes on the chain, which are spring fed starting at Bruin Lake and ending in Hell at the dam, which you could portage and keep going. There’s a rope swing on this lake, and don’t be afraid to use it because it’s on public land, but maintained by locals that like to have fun.
