Summary: Jack and Kent have been in a relationship for years and own a fruit farm together. They sell fruit and honey at the farmersā market and deliver produce to local places. Bitty, new to town, takes over a bakery from previous owners. Jack and Bitty get off on the wrong foot when they meet during one of Jack's delivers to the bakery. Bitty meets Kent at the market and gets a crush. Next time Jackās there he realizes the cute guy selling pies is passive aggressive bakery guy. Cue oblivious Jack with a crush, to Kent pointing it out that Jack and Bitty should get together, Kent of course falls for Bitty along the way too.

āAnd now, knead until smooth and elastic, eight to ten minutes,ā Kent read from his perch atop the kitchen table, legs swinging.
āYou do not knead a goddamned pie crust, you horrible man, stop reading the wrong recipe!ā Bitty stormed over and yanked the recipe book away as Kent cracked up. Even Jack was snickering. āIf youāre not going to help, at leastā¦ā He seemed to reach a level of indignation too great for words.
āHelp? Eric Richard Bittle! Thatās your homework right there! Are you suggesting I help you cheat?ā Bitty leveled a glare at him.
āSorry, Bittle, but you literally signed up for this,ā said Jack, grinning madly.
āHe is your boyfriend when he is trying to ruin a pie crust.ā Kent and Jack lost it all over again.
āAw, Bits, you donāt love me anymore?ā Kent hopped off the table to come up behind Bitty and wrap his arms around Bittyās shoulders, tugging him back into a hug and getting flour all over his arms in the process. Bitty elbowed him in the gut. Laughing, Kent backed off, and made for Jack instead.
āZimms still loves me, donāt you, Zimms?ā
āYes,ā Jack answered easily, and held his own pie tin out of reach. āIām still not letting you ruin this pie crust.ā
