the fanart of Pilot Huntlow (AKA Prince William and Paulina) has me wondering exactly when the writers decided to start shipping them and to put their relationship into the story.
like, the shippy sketches we've seen from the crew include their S2A designs, which means they were already shipping them when S2A began... but I wonder if it could've started even earlier than that...

WE FUCKIN' GOT A CANNON BETA HUNTER AAAAAAAHHHHH-
Dude, I saw this at like 10 PM last night right before bed and I fanboyed so much I stayed up an extra three hours lmfao. Seriously though, beta Hunter looks so different he's almost unrecognizable! The only things that seemed to have stuck were his gloves, boots, and tooth gap. He even had round ears like what?? He looks a lot younger too, maybe he was originally 14? It's crazy how different he looked.
Hunter got a massive glow-up, and I'm glad they went with his current design. Even though this design is super cute it doesn't fit his story and personality in the final show, but DAMN IT we were robbed of freckled Hunter! This beta design makes me wonder what his original story was, knowing that TOH was apparently a very different show in its early concepts.
