pierre and carlos played a padel match against each other today during the hexagon cup in madrid~! (carlos and his dad won against team gasly)

YES they were red bull juniors at the same time!!! pierre was P2 in the 2014 formula renault 3.5 championship that carlos won to earn his toro rosso seat! and teto was p3 lol here's a photo of the three of them from the time

i don't know if they were in touch at all during the years that pierre was in formula e or w/e but when pierre made it to F1, carlos was his first teammate, for two races before he moved to renault.

when pierre got demoted from red bull back to toro rosso, carlos invited him to spend part of the break on his yacht. according to pierre's father, they're friendly--he calls carlos a "gentleman driver" in his book

and i think pierre has listed carlos before as one of the drivers he's closest to on the grid, but i'll have to double check that.
