Chipped porcelain and broken bones. A pieceless, peaceless thing.
My favorite character in This Bites! (which is honestly debatable now) has gotta be Nico Robin. But my reason for my appreciation for her goes back months before I even read it. When I started my own fic, Pieceless (Rated E for booba), I wanted to break this woman to her core. Not in a traumatic way or anything, but I asked myself “how do I take the level-headed, calculated and sometimes creepy Robin, and turn her into the complete opposite of that”. All it takes is a few unfortunate events and the composure shatters, turns out. I absolutely adore how Robin gets picked on in TB! because I enjoy picking on her as well. ;P
She is also incredibly hard to draw, especially when you want to make her way more expressive than her canon counterpart. Easily the character I have drawn the most and it’s not even close. These two are from about a half year ago.
I don't just draw This Bites! junk. This gaggle of characters is the current cast of a fanfiction of mine called Pieceless, in which Nami dons the straw hat instead of her captain and collects a harem along the way.
And yes, if you're interested, it is Explicit. TW: Sex, Shameless Nudity, and Expansion of all shapes and sizes. It's not all that, of course. Lots of chicanery otherwise.
Ah. The world of fanfiction. It’s a beautiful thing. It’s one where you can bring Nami’s dead mother back to life and have her marry Curly Dadan of all people while their daughter is the one who hangs out with the pirate with the red hair and scar and eats a stretchy fruit and wears a straw hat and wants to become king of the pirates whilst having debaucherous shenanigans with her equally debaucherous crewmates. Gooooooood stuff.
