Whump Prompt #1754
Your character is forced to go on the next mission despite barely recovering from the last one.
This could be them being shipped off with a dangerously high fever; with fresh surgical stitches or a cast on their arm. Maybe they didn't even get the time to mentally decompress from the last mission before they're off seeing The Horrors again.
Heart on the Table: Chapter 1 Part 4 (Pgs 19-23)

My personal favourite injuries to give characters!
- blood loss (slow and the imagery of either the whumpee or someone else desperately trying to stop the bleeding! or whumpee being completely alone as it happens)
- broken jaw, it just seems so inconvenient!
- hypothermia (because, again, it is slow! especially good if whumpee is found all alone in the snow after being missing for ages)
- gunshot/stab wounds that aren't immediately fatal but will become dangerous without urgent care
- broken ribs (easier to hide if the whumpee wants to and can still lead to more complications, also limit movement quite a lot)
- any kind of internal bleeding, since it can take a while to notice (also the classic coughing up blood trope yess!)
- asphyxiation (as in someone getting choked and the bruises/throat injuries that may leave behind)
- radiation burns (some can remain unhealed for months and are a pain to manage)
- their speech/eyesight being damaged (such a good scenario to have them lose one of their crucial ways of communicating with the world)
Whumpee hanging by the wrists pissing Whumper off one too many times.
Whumper breaks Whumpee's legs and leaves them hanging.

“You can kneel now, perfectly fine, or you can kneel after I break your ankles. One of the options will be more comfortable.”
Whump Prompt #1721
"Broken leg? Good, that means the idiot can't run away while I yell at them."
Could we get some more medical whump ideas for a villain who’s being mistreated by hospital staff due to their actions?
Sure! Took me a minute to think of more and this time included more hospital staff.
Villain Being Mistreated By Hospital Staff Pt. 2
TW: medical whump, abuse, & malpractice, broken bones
Doctors doing a terrible job with stitching, leaving Villain with the ugliest scars possible.
Doctors not giving answers to Villain’s questions. “Is it normal for this to hurt?” “Why is this swollen?” Leaving Villain in a panic over whether or not something is wrong.
Doctors not being gentle while removing an imbedded object. Digging around rather aggressively to remove a bullet, causing way more pain after a completed surgery.
Medics deliberately setting a bone wrong and letting it heal like that.
Related to the previous, but putting on a cast improperly, to the point where there’s horrible amounts of skin and bone damage and everyone ignored Villain saying something felt off.
An x-ray tech not bothering with the lead apron on Villain, muttering under their breath, “I hope the bastard gets cancer.”
Nurses and doctors not washing their hands/not wearing gloves before treating Villain. It’s so passive that it’s aggressive, like, who cares if you get norovirus from the patient I just finished treating.
This isn’t whump, but they add plenty of extra “services” and “procedures” and whatnot so that Villain’s bill is so insanely high that even if they are free again, they’ll just have unaffordable medical debt for the rest of their life. Orrr all the debt just goes to their next of kin. Orrrrr if it works for the society, this debt could put Villain in some kind of indentured servitude.
The humiliation. The room cleaner spitting on Villain as they lay in bed. Nurses forcing medical restraint mitts on Villain and laughing. Villain falling on their way to the bathroom.
An immobile Villain getting bedsores from no one coming to move them.
Oh and don’t forget every single hospital staff member entering the room constantly at all hours of the night and closing the door extra loud so that Villain can’t possibly get a good night of sleep.
