My GTI team is the Wildflower! Hero is Marguerite the human turned Snivy and partner is Briar the Axew. In terms of dynamic, Marguerite tends to be on the quieter side, often allowing Briar to do the talking for her. They’re very much a duo that often does things side by side. For example, Marguerite often takes afternoon sunbathing naps due to her Snivy physiology on an afternoon-warmed rocked while Briar reads a book next to her. Many times during their adventures, Marguerite always felt like Briar was the more hopeful of the two of them, as Marguerite tends to be usually stoic, starting off the story by trying not to get her hopes up. Briar strongly believes in the power of hope and perseverance in general, hence why he’s kept working towards his dream of Paradise. Even though she’s initially a bit cautious about the whole thing, Marguerite truly starts to believe in the dream as well. For hope isn’t an innate trait, but something found through experiencing life. Post Kyurem desert encounter, Briar is much more protective of Marguerite during missions, never wanting to see her hurt like that again. Briar, due to his many years of not having friends or a family, feels very strongly about the family he finds in Paradise. In a similar vein, he feels many things for Marguerite, including romantically, although he comes to the conclusion that their bond is so much more than a simple romance. He feels this connection to Marguerite very strongly, and that’s partially why he and Marguerite made the promise that she would stay. In a sense, they are soulmates. Even if they weren’t romantically involved, they’d still be soulmates. They are in a sense, each other’s Paradise.
