As you guys have attested to, my pickup has been an endless source of problems for the last year or so, from the broken axle, to the broken clutch, the clutch’s hydraulic system, the radiator, the AC, the rear suspension, the alternator, the alternator belt, the joints of the axel, the wiper fluid motor, the light switch, the battery, and just last week, the turning lights indicator.
So
I sold that fucker and bought myself a little Kia Picanto hatchback! It’s a 2019 model, so not as old as my 2012 pickup, it’s actually in really nice condition, and the owner recently send it for maintenance at the Kia concessionaire, so it’s as good as it’s going to get, plus it was effectively a trade off, since I successfully negotiated for the money I had when I sold the Nissan.
I could had sell it for more and actually have some spare cash for fucking once, but I was sick and tired of dealing with bullshit, and really, the rise of gas prices was already hurting my pocket really bad, that pickup spend this whole 2025 without more than half a tank of gas, so I sold it to the first bidder who didn’t mind the electrical issue nor the cosmetic damage all over it, since those pickups are really desirable for construction work, and people in that job don’t mind scratches nor patches of missing paint hehe.
So yeah, I’m going to miss driving above the peons in their little cars, but man am I not going to miss the feeling of dread whenever the gas light turned on, or whenever a random new noise indicated that something had gone wrong again.
It was a fun car, but it’s time to move on, I don’t need money pits anymore, especially now that I plan to have kids.
I salute you my old Nissan, may you not torture your new owner like you did with me 🫡
