More material practice, with a little bit of modeling practice thrown in (had to create the molding on the hook by hand. )

This came out better than I hoped - though it gave me a lot of trouble. I couldn’t quite get the randomness of color that i really wanted (You’ll notice multiple instances where 2 of the same color are next to each other.), but everything else I was extremely happy with.

Getting the positioning right was a challenge. I first tried with dynamics, but they wouldn’t fall quite right and I couldn’t get them close enough together. They’d either be too close initially and fly away from each other at the start of the simulation - or they’d land and not roll close enough together.

So I faked it with a random effector on position and rotation. Worked out much better - though getting them not to clip into each other was a bit of a pain.

Overall, though, this is one of my favorite things I’ve done in Cinema so far.

Lighting and material practice.

Not quite sure what's happening in the lower corners - maybe the lights are too close? They aren't clipping into the model at all. Gonna take a closer look.

Gold trim showed up nicely. Gold flakes...not so much.

Oh well. I'm ultimately happy with the result.

Also black & gold are my second favorite color combination after blue & pink/magenta & cyan.
