When Phoebus was little, heād made up stories about the stars. He would sit outside, wherever they were that night, or by the window if he had to. The stars had their own songs to sing, and he would listen carefully. He remembered their conversations and he drew their homes and he thought of them all the time.
And he was in love.
It was something he missed more than anything, in the hospital. More than the new countries, the foreign food, the beauty of different languages spoken around him, he missed the stars. Once he had a room with a nice window that faced the east. He would lay there while his iv drip drip dripped into him, and would watch the stars and listen.Ā
He was moved into a different room before long. And he moved out of the hospital, eventually, but left almost as much behind as he took with him. In the hospital, heād made friends - other cancer kids. One specific boy he shared stories of his stars with. They laughed and made up more and more - so many that Phoebus wondered if there even were that many constellations in the night sky.
The first night stars he saw outside of the hopsital again, he cried at. Heād wondered if his friend was up there with the stars, then, too.
He grew quieter, after that. Delved into books, star charts, constellation myths ā the facts of what surrounded the earth. It was a long time that he hated it, hated his stories, hated everyone elseās stories. But he could never hate the stars.
It wasnāt until he met them that he began to like the stories he made up, again. It wasnāt until the first night they watched the stars together, and they pointed out the brightest constellation in their Oregon sky.
āI think that star is part of an entirely different story,ā he had said, by accident, and they were interested despite his embarrassment.
So one by one, he told them his stories. He shared his stars like so many pieces of himself, and over time? Over time, Phoebus realized that he had shared so many stories with them, drawn so many new maps of stars, that they, in turn, had been filled with them. And they shone like so many of those diamonds in that night sky.
Poppy and Parker once went on a nature trail and a couple birds flew down and Poppy was feeding them, was very cute and all until Poppy looked over and Parker was smiling through a swollen face and loud heaving with a bird on his shoulder (If you didnāt know Parker is allergic to birds)
Malek took Ben on a date to the beach once and it was going perfect and they saw a huddle of baby turtles running to the ocean and Ben was Livingā¢ until a seagull came and picked one up by the head causing a crying fit for about an hour and thirty minutes from Ben
Anyone going on a date with Noah is just A Mistakeā¢
Once Greg agreed to go on a Thriller Throwback movie date with Noah and it was already awkward being that Greg is Greg, but then the title of the first movie comes on, The Birds, and Greg quite literally has to sit there with his eyes closed for 2 hours hoping Noah doesnāt look at him and at one point he peaks out to see if itās over and he literally lets out a high pitched shriek (Noah never lets him live it down for the rest of their lives and yes, Greg is canonically afraid of birds)
Ari and Phoebus went on a date to the aquarium once so that Ari could go touch the Manta Rays in the big open tank they have where the rays come flooshing by the sides and you can pet their flappy wing things. Well, Phoebus saw someones service dog walking by and accidentally bumped into Ari to go pet it, causing Ari to fall into the Manta Ray tank as they had been leaning down to touch one
Poppy and Sara were just snuggling one morning as a breakfast date and Poppy promised to make breakfast for the two of them, so after 20 mins of fumbling in the kitchen Poppy comes out with her toaster strudel concoction and Sara loves her too much to not eat it, but after about 5 mins Sara is barreling to the bathroom and proceeds to vomit
Charlie asks Paulina on a date once and they go and have a great time and the Mood For Romanceā¢ is ripe all up until they run into the baseball team hanging out and they absolutely embarrass the shit out of Charlie despite the many signals she sends them to Go. The. Fuck. Away. and while Paulina is laughing and not looking miserable, Charlie is just dead inside because of course these Heathens would come kill her chance for romance kms kms
Blake and Tyler go out for ice cream and to talk about soft gay boi literature things and itās all sweet and Blake is actually smiling and Tyler is loving it all up until Blake spots Dallas and Malek across the street, heading into the ice cream shop like THEYāRE on a DATE TOO? The mood is completely killed, and of course they come over to talk to them and Blake is 10/10 the Worstā¢ and just keeps trying to one up Dallas every chance he getsĀ
Later Tyler agrees with Malek that they will preschedule any future dates to avoid ever seeing each other during said date time
Malek and Dallas once went on a camping date in The Forest and it was absolutely great and all until Malek went missing and was never found again

It's arospec awareness week, which means it's time for me to produce Eerie Crests headcanons on who's arospec because um, have u met me. This is my life.
So, right off the bat, letās go with, well
Sara is grey-ace canonically, and headcanon/romantic orientation wise, Iām also gonna go with her being quoiromantic? For those who donāt know what that means, essentially being quoiromantic means that the person has trouble distinguishing between platonic and romantic attraction, and is thus unsure if theyāve ever experienced romantic attraction, cannot properly define it in their own experience, and/or have attraction which falls somewhere between platonic and romantic.Ā
tl;dr? Sara mainly feels alterous attraction (and has lots of those feelings for Poppy, imo ;0)
Then, I do gotta go ahead and say that I figure Blake is arospec. Iād say grey or demi more specifically, though Iām leaning more towards demiromantic. He definitely has a bit of a squish (platonic crush) on Tyler, and would definitely be down to be qpps with him because listen, as someone with a qpp? Fuck dude, itās great, and if I could be with them in person it would be even better.Ā
Blake doesnāt seem to be super touchy feely, but he definitely seems to be the lowkey holding hands when cold kinda guy, and so he and Tyler definitely hold hands and maybe end up as qpps (pls, blake needs someone who loves & supports him as a pal)
And then thereās Ari, tho idk how they canonically identify. I donāt have any headcanons for them, but I definitely love them and in my head Iām just lowkey wondering if theyāre aro, ace & agender because a triple A threat. Regardless, well,
I also headcanon Phoebus as arospec? Loves dogs & space more than people, isnāt great with relationships bc he doesnāt really know how to emulate performative romantic attraction (amatonormativity is a binch) and him maybe desiring romantic relationships but still being aromantic is just. A good headcanon, imo, and one that Iām starting to love more and more. But thatās just me, and those are just my headcanon picks for who might be arospec in Eerie Crests (bc I donāt remember if canonically anyone is)
