⭐ Xavier can make a really high pitched noise like metal against glass and everyone is afraid except his Partner.

⭐ While most Philosophers glow when they're happy most only emit harmless spores designed to attract their Partners and others emit glows scented with pheromones.

⭐ Without a suppressor Xavier shines so brightly when his Life Partner is in danger his light becomes an electromagnetic wave. His evol creates a cosmic vibration paralyzing attackers with fear.

Philosophers were extraterrestrial humanoid species who heavily communicated through singing. They sang in low, hooting tones in the language Philosophian to mark territory and regarded response calls as a challenge. Philosophers dedicate part of the formative years of their lives perfecting their personal songs; Some Philosophers glow while singing, others emit a low vibration or teleport rapidly in place as if blinking in and out of existence .

When Daughters are born, the Mother sings a certain pitch that her daughter will learn to imitate.

When Sons are born, they learn to imitate the sounds of other male figures around them.

While perfecting their personal songs, Philosophers sing to connect and will sing until a specific voice matches them. Afterwards, they are matched and become Partners who must sing out a verbal vow renewal to help solidify the harmony in their Pair Bond.

⭐️ Philosophers have prehensile tongues. It is a multifunctional tool able to wrap around and exhibit small spikes to pierce prey as well as extend 130% of its length when propelled like a whip. Although a softened tongue reaches farther (and Philosophers tongues are 10 times softer than the human tongue) roughness improves its grip, allowing them to literally rend meat clean off of the bone. The saliva coating on the tongue can either lubricate, adhere to, rapidly heat up or stimulate rapid tissue hydration in emergencies.

They are also born with low light vision, have heightened senses (extremely heightened sound and smell) and the ability to emit excess energy from their body by emitting tiny spores.
