Matthew has been tipped as a ‘long shot’ for a Supporting Actor Emmy for this performance by Hollywood Reporter. For me - he stole the whole show with his portrayal of this truly awful man.
These are my favourite pictures of Matthew Goode today. Because I loved seeing him play such a ‘deliciously squalid’ character in Ordeal by Innocence (and it has absolutely nothing to do with him wearing a sleeveless vest that shows off his neck. Nope. Nothing. )

When all you want to do is eat your grapefruit in peace - Phillip looks up from his newspaper and all hell breaks loose! Phillip being his delightful self and upsetting everyone as usual. If his wife gets hurt as well - that’s just acceptable collateral damage - he shows no concern for her at all and keeps right on going.
