Matthew Goode's Timeless Elegance

It's been a cool and cloudy day where I am, and it made me settle in and introspect on things that draw me to Matthew Goode and his work, and what he represents to me. In order to help collect my thoughts, I created an edit using photos of him from the 2025 shoot by Lee Malone, which I think are stunning. Related to the eye-contact post that I put up earlier, these shots really capture the intensity and the sparkle in Matthew's eyes. I feel drawn to them like a moth to a flame.

There's many things that Matthew and his work represent to me and resonate with me: - Timelessness His classic beauty and the body of his work generally focus on expanding beyond the here and the now. You can capture elements of times in history, and allow nostalgia for yesteryear to take over. - Curiosity He has played the roles of intellectuals, and in interviews he has spoken about how he loves listening to people give lectures about varying topics. When offered the time to go beyond the traditional press junket questions, he is an insightful individual that loves exploring different ideas. - Imagination He comes across to me as someone who is highly imaginative, and it clearly shows in his performances when he gets into character. - Passion/ Emotion Both onscreen and in interviews, he's clearly passionate about what he does, and applies layers of emotions to characters he plays. You feel like you're really there in the film/show. - Elegance and Beauty There's an old fashioned well-mannered gentlemanly vibe about him that draws me to him. There's also a sense of appreciation for the beauty in things overall. - Family First Family is number one in his life, and it's something that resonates with my own values. - A Sense of Belonging As someone who feels a bit anachronistic among my peer group (Millennials), Matthew's work and his overall vibe gives me a "place" where I can be myself.

Finn is one of my favorite characters of Matthew Goode's. He has integrity, kindness, intelligence, and is downright gorgeous.

Matthew Goode as Stanley Mitchell on Stephen Polikoff's 'Dancing on the Edge'. Matthew portrays music journalist Stanley Mitchell in 'Dancing on the Edge' in which he navigates the 1930s music world with promoting the Louis Lester jazz band. I enjoyed how this series portrayed the musical world of the 1930s, including the jazz music of the time period, and there's a quick nod to early electronic music via the character Eric who ends up joining the Music Express team, who expresses interest in the "orchestra without musicians". Stanley is one of my favorite characters of his. He's enterprising, cheeky, creative, and absolutely dashing.

Look into the distance and look like your trying to work out if you turned off your hair strengthens before you left the house....

Me: "Silent Night, Matthew Goode? Say less.”

Also me, five seconds later: “……oh no.”

Music is abstraction. There's shape to the sounds. Patterns in melody, rhythm and chords. Structure in meter/beat.

Shape and pattern in liquid eyes that color shift with iridescent colors, like a synthesis of evolving waveforms. The art of my muse, pulling me forward... Higher and lower with my emotions.... Expanding my horizons even further. Reacquainting me with the magic of creation.
