I know the every witch way fandom likes to hate daniel, and he does deserve some lashes. though I do think some of his feelings when it comes to the magic realm are valid. especially as someone who was constantly a victim to magic against his will from all 3 of his main love interests. like maddie using spells on him in s1, emma in s2 (ie. wiping his memory), and mia with the spider seal in s3. and the fact is that by the end of the show, while he is free from magic, the fact his life in the everglades only came to be. because of magic. because of emma choosing jax over him, which caused the continuum break. lowkey, if I was him, I just would never speak to any of these people again
The reason why Daniel and Mia work better is because Mia is essentially Daniel’s Jax to Emma. Both were bad guys in their introductory season, both have a mean side, both have punk-semi-goth inspired looks.
To put it simply:
Jax: Someone will die.
Emma: Of fun!
