Drink Me, Break Me, Haunt Me(as a Persona), Kill Me, Unbind Me(from his ties to being a god) ((YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ALL OF THEM, CHOOSE THE ONE/ONES YOU WANT~))
Whatever had possessed the duo to come to such a place was beyond them now. They were there, the atmosphere was awkward, and they couldnāt think of a good enough reason to leave. The first drinks were free and were provided upon entry. Where were they you ask? At a⦠bar.
The deity wasnāt at all familiar with how to react to the woman who came up to him, requesting the removal of his mask. That alone bothered him slightly, though her actions while trying to were⦠questionable. Why she had felt the need to sit upon his lap and rotate her hips was beyond him.
Naoto could only find it in herself to pull the brim of her hat over her eyes, the amount of flesh that was being shown was more than she could bare. If anything, she hoped Philemon would use what little power he had to remove them from the building. Upon further thought that idea was pushed aside, even if this was going to scar her mind.
Her eyes widened under the newly casted shadow as a hand found her chin, tilting her head upwards. Oh god, this woman thought she was male. Her cheeks darkened when the woman pulled out her chair and started dancing in front of her.
At that point their situation only seemed to get worse as talk of bringing them to a back room was thrown about. After having it explained to him and watching as Naoto seemed to get more uncomfortable, Philemon didnāt need an excuse. He took a hold of the young detectives hand and practically dragged her out of the building. He would apologise later, he thought, never going back to that place or using any of their services was top priority.
ā¦Perhaps bar was too strong a word.
Completing his personal duty to one of his guests had never been this difficult.
He was to help them throw away the mask they wore daily, the persona they had conjured up to fit in. She had done so, with his help. Her distance with emotions and hidden wants were nothing more than memories now⦠never had leaving been this hard.
His back was turned, all that he was required to say had been said, yet there he stood. Shaky intakes of breath reached his ears; the guest he was meant to leave was doing her best to not protest. She was stubborn however, he knew this all too well.
āIs a visit too bold a demand, too bold a request?ā The usual professional tone she held had left her, a mix between anger and helplessness could be heard in her voice, āOur time together⦠was it all for naught, was this always to be how it ended?ā
āIām afraid so.ā The deitys deep voice rang in the air, cutting through all hope the female detective held within her, āYou no longer wear the mask you were so attached too, my work here is completed.ā
āTchā¦ā If it was meant to sound cold, the noise had come off as... broken. The times the two had spent with one another flooded into her mind, how her natural curiosity and need to know everything had developed into intense feelings of admiration and love for him, for the man who was about to leave her behind.
āI apologise, my friend. It is a task I must do with all my guests.ā His tone never faltered, not once during the whole confrontation. Duty came above all else, despite how close they were, despite how long it had taken for them to get this far. āFarewell.ā
Those had been Philemons last words to Naoto Shirogane, their meetings ending with her slowly regaining consciousness. In the end, they would both be lying if they said their parting hadnāt hurt.
If only he had known that this fated split would come back to haunt him.
ā¢Ā Haunt me (as a Persona) :
The times of being lonesome in the unconscious domain with a lack of guests seemed to turn into mere memories.
Times when the deity known as Philemon would wonder what certain activities would be like when experienced with a blue haired detective were behind him now. The mortal named Naoto Shirogane was six feet under, buried next to her mother and father.
This didnāt dishearten him at all. You would think the death of someone he held so dear to him would faze him, even slightly, this wasnāt the case.
If you were lucky enough to get a look under his mask from that point on, you would see a faint smile playing at his features. A smile the woman of the Fortune Arcana had helped him become accustomed to.
Perhaps say you were true to yourself and were able to recite your name when asked for in the deitys domain, what would you see then? If you allowed your eyes to flicker from the mysterious being to the glowing form behind him you would be met with quite a sight.
A figure standing at five foot, covered in armour akin to that of a prince, wearing a futuristic visor over their eyes that seemingly scanned you the more your eyes made contact with it would be hovering behind him, silent and ever watching.
Had you time to look over the new being entirely you would be able to tell, without a doubt, that Naoto Shirogane had never left the deity. Her soul stayed with him.
Stayed by his side forever infact, as a Persona.
This⦠hadnāt been part of the plan.
When Minato had gained Philemonās powers while he was the Great Seal, the thought of the bluenette lusting for more power hadnāt even crossed his mind. They had been like family, an unlikely one but a family none the less; had you told Philemon that Minato would turn on him he would have dismissed you with ease.
Though it seemed nothing was beyond the boy now. He had sought out Naoto, the only other person who had gotten close to the deity, the only other person with Philemonās power. Ā Minato had tried to persuade the detective to join his cause; it was a just one, though the power hungry tone he adopted swayed her against him, allowing his true colours to come out.
The goal? Gain all of Philemons powers, willingly or not.
The deity could only watch as the woman he had grown close to completed Minatos bidding. Her movements stiff, her dark blue eyes glowing with a neon blue tint from the possession were fixated on him, her hands having a tight hold on his neck.
He was too weak by this stage.Ā Minato and him had fought, instincts and blinded attacks versus experience and tactics. Naotos appearance had thrown him off guard, only by a little, but it was enough. It was enough to hurt him a great deal and cause him to fall to the groundāwhich is where he is on the ground with Naoto on top of him, her hands firmly around his neck.
He⦠couldnāt bring himself to harm her, even if she was against him. All he could do was wrap his hands around her wrists in attempt to lessen the damage she was inflicting. With his inactivity, Minato strode over to the two, a sickening smirk spread across on his face when he saw Philemons head slowly turn to him.
Smirk ever present, the male bluenette bent down to them and got a grip on the deitys head, forcibly swerving it back around to look at the woman. Her eyes were as cold as the ice blue that had tinted them.
āTake a good lookā¦ā Minato spoke, arrogance lacing his voice, āThis will be the last thing you see.ā
He slipped his thumb under Philemons mask, draining all the power he had left. The bluenette left, leaving Naoto there with a slowly fading body. Once he was out of sight his hold on the sleuth disappeared, leaving her there to see that aftermath of her miscalculation.
Leaving her there to watch him vanish.
ā¢Ā Unbind me (from ties to being a god);
As days turned into months, months into years, the deity realised that staying with the detective was slowly turning him more⦠human.
With her by his side, Philemon had gained a face of his own, a new way to convey emotionsāheād gained new, intense emotions also. Though foreign, he had some idea of what they were and what they meant.
The familiar blue hair of Naoto Shirogane past by him, his hand slipping into her own with ease. It got her to stop, though her body stiffening up was something she always seemed to do, as her head turned around to him, light pink cheeks on display.
He was breaking all the rules already, by simply touching her hand⦠there wasnāt anything wrong with breaking a few more. The more he was there, the less his duties weighed on his mind. In a sense he'd become free, at the price of being blissfully ignorant but free none the less.
