đđżToday Is Giving Tuesdayđđż
TODAY is Giving Tuesday!Â
We finally made it to the biggest global day of generosity. On this day of giving, individuals, communities, and organizations harness their power to effect positive change by encouraging philanthropy and celebrating generosity.
We hope you have decided to choose Black Childrenâs Books and Authors, Inc. (BCBA) as a trusted nonprofit to support. Your gift will help support our mission to promote awareness of childrenâs and young adult literature by Black authors.
One of the ways BCBA will do this is by purchasing books for children in underserved communities. âResearch has shown that increasing access to books and giving children the choice to choose what they want to read improves academic performance and attitudes toward reading and learning.â
We can accomplish this with your help. A smallâone-time or recurringâgift would mean so much to our organization. No amount is too small!
If you wish to send a donation, please send to:
BCBA | PO Box 34334 | Memphis, TN 38184
Thank you for considering BCBA as your Giving Tuesday charity!đđż

Queer couple in need!
Anyone wanna commission me? I need like 300$ ASAP in follow up to earlier funraiser post. We got the money for the car together somehow but we still need roundabout 300 for the registration and insurance.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you can't donate, spreading the word would already mean the world to us.

Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.

Historian Rutger Bregman berates billionaires at World Economic Forum over tax avoidance
â But another panel member, Winnie Byanyima, an Oxfam executive director, took up the fight and said high employment was not a good thing in itself because many people found themselves in exploitative work. She cited the example of poultry workers in the US who had to wear nappies (diapers) because they were not allowed toilet breaks. âThatâs not a dignified job,â she said. âthose are the jobs weâve been told about, that globalisation is bringing jobs. The quality of the jobs matter. In many countries workers no longer have a voice. Addressing Goldman, she said: âYouâre counting the wrong things. Youâre not counting dignity of people. Youâre counting exploited people.â Billions of dollars were leaked by tax avoidance every year which should instead be going to alleviate poverty in the developing world, she added. â
