Nov 9, 2022 As the Prince and Princess of Wales depart on their 'second honeymoon' in an effort by Charles's team to convince the public that their marriage is back on track, the Queen and Prince Philip set sail from Portsmouth on the annual Western Isles tour aboard Britannia. But when the Sunday Times publishes a poll saying the public would favour the Queen to abdicate in favour of Prince Charles, John Major fears that a divided royal family will threaten national stability.

In the opening episode of the series, Edith Bowman meets Writer Peter Morgan, Director Jessica Hobbs, Head of Research Annie Sulzberger, and talks with the actor portraying the final iteration of Queen Elizabeth, Imelda Staunton.

Date unknown. Active; focal plane 12 m (39 ft); red flash every 3 s. 8 m (26 ft) round conical tower with a flared top, painted with red and white horizontal bands. Trabas has an excellent photo, Marco Stoppa has a 2020 photo, Andre Kurokawa has a street view, and Google has a satellite view. Located at the end of the west mole at Peniche. Alger Grand Môle (Passe Mustapha Feu Rouge)Date unknown. Active; continuous red light. 7 m (23 ft) round masonry tower with lantern and gallery. Lighthouse painted white, lantern red. This light is on the right in a distant view and Google has a satellite view. Located on a short breakwater projecting from the Grand Môle of Algiers, marking the south side of the southern entrance to the inner harbor. Site status unknown. Admiralty E6612; NGA 22408.

Río Luján (San Isidro) (2?)

Date unknown. Active (privately maintained); focal plane 14.5 m (47 ft); red flash every 5 s. 9.5 m (31 ft) square skeletal tower, painted red. No photo available, but Google has a satellite view. A ruined concrete skeletal tower nearby was probably an earlier light for this station. Located on the south side of the entrance to the Río Luján, which enters the Río de la Plata at San Isidro on the north edge of Buenos Aires. Site open, tower closed. Punta Maternillos (Faro de Colón)

1850. Active; focal plane 53 m (174 ft); white flash every 15 s. 52 m (171 ft) round masonry tower with lantern and gallery, painted white, adjacent to a 1-story keeper's quarters complex. A 2011 aerial photo is below right, Belén Menendez Solar has a photo, a 2009 photo and a 2010 closeup are available, and Google has a good satellite view. This is Cuba's tallest lighthouse. Named for Christopher Columbus (Cristóbal Colón in Spanish), the light guards the entrance to Nuevitas, the second most important port of Cuba's north coast after Havana. Located on the beach at the end of a long spit on the north side of Cayo Sabinal, about 20 km (13 mi) north of Nuevitas. Accessible by road. Site and tower reported open.
