What's not to love all those middle aged women and wannabe philanderers admiring your senior husband. You looking on lovingly at the sidelines because your job is to follow, bend and arch. Nothing is cute.
Peter Morgan take notesπ
David's sugar baby must follow her master, otherwise he will replace her with another model with a younger body. Gillian Anderson doesn't need a young sex toy, so Peter can rest easy.
This week-end Peter was with his aristocratic friends while Gillian enjoyed with David in Denver π€ͺ
Gillian worked in Denver, and if she hadn't shot her funny videos, fans would have had nothing to watch but boring panels.
Looking at PM's follows on Insta it would seem that he went to Moscow bought heels for Gillian. Unless it's for him. π
I'm sorry, but I don't answer such strange questions that don't make sense and look more like insults.
Only my opinion but I believe that PMs image he left with Gillianβs fanbase when they started dating was so bad, yelling for her, leaving her in the rain on crutches etc. just being a pompous ass. Tons of people where letβs say irritated that Gillian who had always portrayed herself as independent and strong (follow your dreams not your bfs) suddenly seemed to be the shadows and plus one of someone who didnβt appreciate her at all. Then the Khan disaster followed and no matter if itβs true or not Gillian got mugged off publicly. Ever since she βtookβ him back he clearly has been kept out of her public persona because he doesnβt fit into her brand. Gillianβs team is smart and a pompous ass who has a fit over fish fingers and seems unpleasant doesnβt fit her brand and marketing. What she does is keeping business and private as separate as she can for the sake of engagement and her fans. PM does not sell or benefit her
Peter Morgan is a pompous ass. But Gillian signed a contract with Netflix, and I think improving Peter's image was part of her contract. By the way, this is not such a rare thing in business as it may seem. The Crown was an expensive series, and no one knew its creator, and besides, he had a very average reputation. Peter's relationship with Gillian fixed that.
I doubt that Gillian was "suffering" from Peter's behavior. This upset her fans more. And, of course, the story with Jemima Khan didn't bother her at all. I don't think there was any romance at all. Peter used Khan to get juicy information, and Khan used Peter to promote her point of view on Diana's story. When the plans of both sides failed, all the "actors in this drama" returned to their places. And does anyone believe that Peter and Khan will tell the truth? It's easier to let the tabloids hype an affair that didn't happen.
Gillian was never Peter's shadow. Gillian is a very talented actress, and Peter needed a good actress to play Thatcher, so their interests converged and everyone benefited greatly from it. But Peter was never part of Gillian's "brand." None of her men have ever been part of her "brand." Gillian does not cheat on herself and does only what is beneficial to her. It just seems like she's following a man, not her dreams. Gillian's team has built her strategy perfectly, and if you look closely, not only Peter, but no one else has a place in her strategy. Gillian's brand is exclusively Gillian.

The lengths at which people are prepared to bury PM
He smiled at her. Gillian knew where he was. Probably know before hand where he would be sitting. No need for a put up or grab unnecessary attention. PM doesn't have to let people know he is there, he doesn't need to feign confusion. Old people with what appears to be a mature love. Why risk tripping on that long dress and high heels? Because she had to look at her for people to believe she isn't secretly gay?
Thank you. I'm tired of explaining that this was a job for Gillian, not an after-party where you can relax.
"Is Gillian not happy with Peter? Any hints of unhappiness on her part? Peter looked at her lovingly in Cannes. A look of believable pride and adoration on his face. And now news that she is unhappy??"
We can make assumptions of her happiness based on how we project our own feelings onto what we see. Without knowing her or hearing her thoughts specifically on her relationship, there are posts and blogs that stipulate for both sides. She seems to be the type of person who wears her emotions on her sleeves, and what I perceived in the last 2-3 weeks is exhaustion. She looks like she works hard to be professionally "high" and enthusiastic at Cannes and she might be because the atmosphere and film's welcome can be contagious, but she may crash hard afterwards. Hasn't she been working nonstop with filming, Cannes, Cons, and whatever else she does?
From a very tiny bit of a view that fans are allowed to see, she has PM in her periphery but not at the center. This could be to protect the relationship and privacy (hence why it was someone else who posted that he was at Cannes), or because as she has said in the past that she is a difficult person to be with so she may "shut out" partners to concentrate on work. She doesn't post about him or congratulate him or address any type of life with him other than business and to people who follow her marketing, it can come across as business and not love.
Has she said anything negative about him lately? The last thing I can think of was when she said that she absolutely does not cook for PM. Do you blame her, tho, after his ex wrote about his fit about the chicken or fish sticks that she cooked for him?
Maybe she is happy for what she considers happiness which is that she has a backup companion when she wants it. She comes across as someone who enjoys her solitude.
Gillian was promoting the film Jane Schoenbrun in Cannes, in which she played the main role. It would be very unprofessional if Gillian paid attention to Peter, who is directly related to the industry, but he has nothing to do with the movie "Death at Camp Miasma". Peter came to the screening of the film as a private citizen and kept a low profile because it wasn't about him or his project. It was a Jane Schoenbrun and Gillian movie. It was a job for Gillian, and she did it perfectly.
I've said a million times that everyone is different, and what Gillian considers happiness, another person may consider a nightmare. None of us knows Gillian, and therefore we can't know what she means by happiness. Gillian is a rich woman with great opportunities and she will not tolerate if something makes her unhappy.
You saw it on images of a few seconds. He was less happy after Gillian passed by without looking at him. He was also less enthusiastic after the screening so we can only rely on interpretations π€·ββοΈ.
I don't care what kind of relationship Gillian and Peter have. Peter doesn't interfere with Gillian's career, and if she doesn't pay attention to him when she's working, then it's the right thing to do. This is a public event, not a friendly party. Gillian doesn't need Peter's approval to be successful and move forward.
