#phantom rambles

Just thought of a good prompt for a short story, kinda “Humans Are Space Orcs” like? What if when aliens get here, and they’ve somehow already studied a bunch of human knowledge and stuff, they only READ stuff so they don’t know (or their translators don’t know) how to properly pronounce words? Like pronouncing metabolic as “Meh-tab-oh-lick” instead of “meta-bolic”. Putting the wrong emphasis on words and stuff. It’s late and I’m rambling maybe someone already made a post like this but oh well I think I’m funny
