No, we are not dating, although quite a few people do seem to think we would be a cute couple (cough uzbekchucklesalexfiftyfuckinganons cough).

The comics/artwork Phantom draws refer to the ship between our characters (and I know you guys are going to get snarky about this so I’ll go ahead and tell you to stop) and avatars, largely because when the ship first started, the artwork wasn’t really shippy and was just representing various people in the fandom. The characters represented us, but we weren’t shipping anything then. Once it got to the point where it got really shippy, then it became soley about the characters.

Okay, prepare for a horrible analogy because that’s the only way I can think to explain this.

Think of it like the FAHC/Achievement Hunter ships. When you say you ship Geoff and Jack, almost everyone is referring to their FAHC characters, NOT the real people. 

You ship Rose and Jack, not Kate Winslet andLeonardo DiCaprio.

You ship Kayla and Phantom, not Jamie and theguywhorunsthatblogwhosnameiwontmentionbecauseprivacy.

Alright? When Phantom said the ship is real, he meant the characters, not with us.

Since once more, it’s not something we’ve ever talked about and it’s not something he’s ever hinted at wanting, considering every time it’s brought up, he insists it’s OC only.
