“Your saviour is h—what the hell happened here?” The haughty display Minho had put on shatters like a mirage, his jaw practically lowered to the ground as he gapes at the state of the kitchen. For once in his life, he’s glad he doesn’t share a dorm with Angel.

Angel winces at the pile of spilled flour she just stepped in before turning back to him with a sheepish smile. “Things went… awry…”

“Obviously,” he snorts, yet he’s already grabbing the extra pair of rubber gloves and moving towards the sink, carefully tiptoeing past the various ‘obstacles’ on the floor. He feels like he’s playing Mario Kart. “What are you making? I thought you didn’t like baking.”

“I think I might like it even less after today,” Angel sighs, crouching down with a small grunt to wipe up the flour as he begins doing the dishes. “I thought I’d try making muffins for Felix to cheer him up, but I didn’t expect it to be such a disaster. It looked so much easier when he’s the one baking.”

Minho hums in understanding and steps away from the sink so he can peek into the oven. Soapy water drips from his gloves and onto the floor, but he doesn’t notice. “If it makes you feel any better, they’re rising pretty well. They don’t look half bad either.”

“Really?” The hopeful gleam that brightens up the dispirited look in her eyes brings a smile to his face. “Well, I’ll gladly clean up any disaster as long as they turn out okay. Thanks, by the way, for helping me.”

He waves a dismissive hand. “Don’t worry about it, I had nothing to do anyways. And don’t beat yourself up too much about the mess, you’re doing a nice thing for Yongbokkie.”

“You’re being unusually nice to me today,” Angel teases, “what’s gotten into you?”

“Hey! I’m always nice to you! Though… I might be inclined to be even nicer if you let me have one of those muffins.”

“Noona, you made these?” Felix’s wide eyes flicker between Angel’s face and the Tupperware of chocolate chip muffins she presented to him. “I thought you didn’t like baking?”

“Wow, that’s what I said too,” Minho remarks before taking another bite of his muffin. She ended up giving him three, because he deserved it after all the greasy bowls he helped wash. “But you mentioned craving something sweet yesterday and she wanted to cheer you up.”

“It’s really nothing,” Angel says with warm cheeks, suddenly overcome with shyness, “take care, Yongbokkie. Remember not to strain yourself, whatever you need, we can get for you.”

Felix beams, cheerful and optimistic as always despite his injury. “Thank you, noona, really.”

“Of course, you know I’d do anything for you,” she smiles, ruffling his hair affectionately, “even if it involves making the biggest mess I’ve had to clean up in my life.”

Minho delivers a gentle nudge to her ribs with his elbow. “What about me? Would you do anything for me too?”

She responds with a fond roll of her eyes, knowing he’s fishing for the same compliment. “Don’t push it.”

It’s okay, he knows she would. For him, for Felix, for all of them.
