Suffering a wardrobe malfunction while you're stealing isn't the best situation to be in.
Lol and gamma jack can't help but be a prick about it.
Phalange, one of my foster mice through Tiny Whiskers Animal Rescue in Minnesota. We are 501c3. He is available for adoption.
Ok, so I'm in anatomy, and we have gotten to the part of the curriculum where we are learning all the bones of the body.
And we've gotten to the hands and feet already.
And you know what bones are on the ends of hands and feet? Phalanges.
And who has the catchphrase of "Phalange Sandwich!"? Donnie.
So every time I see a question concerning the Phalanges, I hear Donnie say "Phalange Sandwich!" in my brain.
And I'm being so for real, that probably helped me remember that those bones are phalanges, all because a fucking turtle from a show I like says that in one of his catchphrases.
It also feels really nice to finally know what a phalange is, instead of just assuming it's some spongy substance like algae. Though it does kind of make sense in a way that a bone has a name that feels like it describes something spongy, because of what the insides of bones look like.
Comparative anatomy of the bones of the feet of dogs, cows and horses.
I love looking at the bones of different species that move in very different ways. They have the same bones but they are shaped so differently.
The bone in the base of the hoof would be our fingertip bone (our distal phalanx, pl. phalange).
This picture probably doesnt make it super clear the difference in size, but the dog picture would really just be a dog paw, while the horse one is the bottom half of its leg!

Phalange, requested by anonymous. Look how excited this little guy is. Pity that the horrors I have to do to .gifs so that Tumblr will upload them made me have to reduce his dance.
Would like to see a particular Mortasheen monster in 3D? Send me a 3 bucks tip and I’ll see to it!

This spade-shaped manus (hand) ungual, last phalange bone that contains the claw, is from a hadrosaur - possibly Edmontosaurus. It was collected from the late Cretaceous Oldman or Edmonton Formation of Canada. ⚒
