SYNOPSIS:

spliced kitchen worker keona warden may not have the perfect life, but at least it’s relatively normal. she gets up in the morning, kisses her mom goodbye, and heads to work with her brother and her father. she visits her father in the stables. she bothers her brother out on the grounds. she works until she can’t feel her fingers anymore, and she goes home to sleep it off until the next morning. but all of that is thrown for a loop when her father is injured by a horse kick to the ribs.

when she gives him one of her mother’s potions to keep him from the brink of death, she captures the interest of one prince wyatt barrington- a young man dying for a distraction. and when a prince takes interest in you, interesting things are bound to happen… especially when that prince is caught up in the facts and exactly how these circumstances do not match the facts at all.

someone who is spliced is at least 10% animal of some sort… and spliced cannot be a host for the magic required to make such potions. keona didn’t make it, which should be easy to explain, except… her mother is a moon mage living in hiding, afraid to be captured and sent away to serve another kingdom, since their healing magic is so rare. so keona lies… and everything gets even more crazy from there.
