Whostory - Peter Howell
Peter Howell worked on background music for Doctor Who in the 70s and 80s, including for the show's first attempt at a spinoff, K9 and Company. He also worked on the new arrangement of the title sequence for the Leisure Hive. It was him who suggested the visuals white out at the end of the credits, so that the arrangement could end with a sonic boom.

i want to eat the doctor who theme it brings me so much joy. and im not talking about the dramatic revival theme, im talking about the 60s-80s beautifully sci-fi versions, made before synths and eventually getting a modern remix and they’re all perfect and i could go on for days
