To be a pessimist is to view everything negatively. To be hopeful means you "hope" everything will happen according to plan [in my case at least]. Lately, I feel like everything is going to hell if it isn't already there, but hopeful that it will change. This mindset, I would like to call pessimistically hopeful. I'm not sure how things are necessarily fucked up but I feel like there are.
I think me gaining weight has a lot to do with that. Unfortunately, I don't have enough self control between my hand which feeds me the food and my heart that knows I shouldn't eat it. I figure one of these days, I'll get fed up enough with fat pants and make an adjustment. I did it last Fall. Why can't I do it now? Last year I felt motivated. This year, I feel... I feel pessimistically hopeful.
Maybe it's because of my job. I have an associates so you would think I'd be utilizing that in my job, but I'm not. I got this job before I got my degree and I'm still in the same place. A bit stuck actually. Too scared to leave the job because I don't know if I'll find another one like this one and don't want to trade this bullshit for different bullshit. Would much rather have a better paying job but I don't think I'll get that doing part time.
Maybe it's him... I'm happy but I feel this constant nagging that he isn't, or he could be happier. I'm not sure what it is... I'd hate for him to be "settling" for me. That would make me feel awful.
But things will change... for the better... I hope...
