I was asked by a friend — that would be you, @chinweilien — how I arranged my bookshelves. Do I do it by author? Books read and unread? By colour (who the heck does them this way?!)? Genre? Fiction or nonfiction? Alphabetical? Answer: None of the above. As you can see from these photos, books go randomly onto the bookshelves without order. Unread and read books are mixed together, so do authors, colors, genres. I like it this way because too much orderliness freaks me out and I’m as liable to reread a favourite as to pick a new one, depending on my mood. Also, so all the books can talk to each other and become friends. 😝 The books are also not limited to the bookshelves.
