So my lab group and I are conducting a research project, and today we brainstormed a question that could be explored. I was the only one who came up with one, and in our next class, we're going to talk to the professor to see what he thinks of the question. I've been debating whether or not when telling him about the question if I should frame the question as one I came up with or one we came up with as a group(I'm the most outgoing and thus most likely to be the one talking). On the one hand, I feel like if I specify that it was my question, it might seem like I'm trying to take credit for it. On the other hand, if I act like it was a question we came up with as a group, it might seem like I'm trying to avoid responsibility if he doesn't think it's a good idea.
Of course, his reaction to the question will affect this. What do y'all think?
