Clouds from above are more difficult to identify, because I can't go off my usual height tells, but they're not impossible!

First image is definitely cumulus or cumuliform, though I'm not 100% certain what it is exactly. Current thought is cumulus congestus stratiformis.

Second image looks to be altocumulus stratiformis perlucidus with a glory.

Do you know what it's called when you get a rainbow thing in the clouds like this?

When clouds have a rainbow in them, it's called irisation! It's a very pretty phenomena, and one I've yet to see irl!

Image 1 has cirrocumulus undulatus with irisation, and cirrus fibratus

I always love seeing such classic cloud types. Feels like meeting an old friend.

found some funky-looking clouds while out on a walk recently :D

So clouds like these can go one of two ways; either they're undulatus, or they're lenticularis with transverse ripples (which isn't *wrong* to call undulatus, too. But specificity y'know?)

In this case, both images are cirrocumulus lenticularis with transverse ripples, and cirrocumulus perlucidus clouds.

There is a decent bit of variety here, but I think a lot of it is the trickery of layering!

Both images have altocumulus perlucidus, stratocumulus duplicatus with virga, and stratus fractus clouds. And some cirrocumulus in image 2, too.

I can't tell if in the distance it's snowing or not. But it was cool to see the clouds come in. They came decently quickly.

So! Image 1 has cumulus mediocris with virga and cirrus spissatus clouds.

And for image 2, any other cloud would be more difficult to identify. But in this case? That's altocumulus perlucidus translucidus stratiformis.

So the first image is definitely altocumulus stratiformis, and the last one is definitely Altocumulus perlucidus stratiformis, but the middle one is really throwing me off!

Im going to have to go with altocumulus stratiformis mammatus for the middle image.
