if i have to hear serana say “yes, what did you need?” ONE more time, im gonna lose my mind.
Calling all Skyrim sapphics!
If Serana permanently altered your brain chemistry, if you’ve spent hours reading UESP instead of sleeping, or if you have Opinions™ about the Dawnguard…
I run a sapphic Discord community open to all WLW with dedicated Elder Scrolls spaces for lore, fanfiction, screenshots, art, roleplay, OCs, modding, and general screaming into the void about Tamriel.
Send me an ask or DM if you’d like an invite. 💜
Harkon was right btw. He knew what was up. Fuck the sun. Kill that thing. I'm melting
I’ve decided to do a story for @tes-season-unending-fest
Their first prompt is: Recovery
And maybe this is a teaser for my Dawnguard story 🤭
Heroes aren’t supposed to fall in battle, they were the heroes of stories for that reason, that was what Serana had always known, so why had her hero fallen? The man who had got her out of Dimhollow Crypt, who had defended her when Isran began throwing his threats around, who had travelled so far with her, into the Soul Cairn and back… who had just pushed her out the way of her own father as he lunged at her with his claws outstretched.
She was pacing outside the room that Gunmar had dragged Kristof into so that Florentius could work on saving him.
Kristof had gone so pale when Gunmar caught him before he could hit the floor, three long slashes across his neck - and likely others from when Harkon’s left hand gripped Kristof’s shoulder. The noise her friend had made would likely haunt her for the rest of her life.
The door opened and snapped Serana out of the spiral she was slowly descending toward. Gunmar stepped out
“Is he…” was all she could get out before Gunmar held up a hand
“Flo is still working,”
“Is he going to be ok?” Gunmar looked back into the room, “Gunmar?”
“We don’t know” Gunmar admitted, Serana froze as she looked at the burly Nord, he sighed and shut the door. Serana stayed standing there for a moment before drifting over to a bench. And waited.
It was another three hours before Gunmar opened the door again, he caught Serana’s eye and waved her over
“He’ll survive… just. Come in,” Gunmar held the door open and Serana stepped in, “we don’t want Isran knowing he’s stable, or he’ll be expecting us all to move out, and he needs to recover more before he can be moved,” Serana nodded as she looked at Kristof; he was lay, motionless on what looked like a table with a banner draped over it. His neck was heavily bandaged, as was his left shoulder, Serana studied his chest for a moment and started to worry when she saw no natural rise and fall of breathing. As if reading her thoughts, Florentius spoke
“He’s alive, trust me, Arkay has told me so on many occasions while I’ve been working on him,” Serana walked up to the table and took Kristof’s wrist in her hand, and sure enough she could feel a weak pulse there
“He’ll recover won’t he?” She asked
“In time I’m sure, a couple of days, I… hmm? Oh! Well Arkay says 3 days,” Florentius folded his arms and leant against the wall, “Kristof is a strong lad, he’ll be ok,”
“He pushed me out of the way,” Serana said quietly, Gunmar put an arm around her shoulders
“Don’t be thinking this is your fault, you’ll end up in a worse state than him if you do that to yourself”
“But…”
“No, and he’ll say the same, and he’d have done that for any of us too I’d wager,”
Serana stirred from her sleep that night, she could see Gunmar slumped against a wall, dozing, Florentius was sat on the opposite side of Kristof also asleep, and then she looked at Kristof as was met by his bright green eyes flickering open
“Flo!” She hissed, the healer woke up, and looked at her, she nodded to Kristof
“Well, well I guess Arkay was wrong,” Gunmar woke with a start as he heard Florentius speak
“Is he awake?” He asked as he stood up
“Seems it, Kristof?” Kristof’s head lulled to the side as he looked up at Florentius
“Flo? What… what happened?”
“You nearly died, that’s what happened,” Gunmar huffed as he walked to the edge of the table, “you pushed Serana out the way of Harkon,”
“Is she ok?” Gunmar looked over his shoulder waved for her to join them, as she walked up to the table Kristof reached out to her, “you’re ok?” He wheezed
“I’m fine, Kristof, focus on yourself for once, please”
“Maybe he’ll listen to you” Gunmar chuckled, “now that this is over he might not be so reckless”
“I doubt it” Serana said, “just rest for now Kristof, its over at last” she kissed his forehead before sitting back down at his side, never once letting go of his hand

Isran is actually so cool and I feel like he’s not talked about enough
Joined Dawnguard, but chose vampires' side. Vampire Lord form is ugly, but ok, tolerable.
Really fucking funny headcannon: isran dawnguard doesn't believe in alduin. Just doesn't think he is real. Government psyop type shit
Is this supported in game? Don't think so. But it would make interactions between the LDB and him EXTREMELY funny, especially because that would mean he thinks the LDB is a fraud and a liar. Which. Obviously isn't the case
