It started with a post: “geese to rehome.” At that time, we were looking for company for Bonnie, who was left alone again after Klaksio died.

When we arrived, it turned out that the geese were only a small part of a much bigger story. An elderly man had been taken to hospital, and dozens of animals he had collected were left without proper care. The next day, someone was supposed to come and kill and sell the farm animals.

We took as many as we could fit into the car.

26 lives in total: 2 rabbits, 3 guinea fowl, 2 geese, 1 duck and 18 chickens.

Some of them later found good homes, some sadly passed away because of earlier neglect and illness. Some are still with us today ❤
