hi hi!! thank you so much got asking! i am offering you 'against the loveless world' by susan abulhawa.

it's a story about a palestinian refugee, part coming of age, part story of resistance. she tells the story from inside an israeli prison as she looks back upon all that has happened to lead her there, so it's not always easy to read, but it offers great insight into the political situation in palestine, and also the other countries she spends time in, like kuwait for example. it's a difficult story to read, but at the same time it's filled with love for her home and culture, like a passion for dancing, which stuck with me. i got really attached to the characters and i think the cover is really too!! (references the prison she's in which is called the cube)
