4. What fandoms do you write for?

As the above will show, any fandom/ship/character that I've gotten somewhat obsessed with -- even for the briefest period of time, as with the case of Zelda and Marvel -- that I don't consider part of perfect media is up for a fic written by me. Like, Shouwa Genroku is never getting a fic, because I think it said everything it needed to say perfectly, but that ass anime I watched when I was 12? Mayhaps... The only fandom that I'll say is not getting me back ever is BnHA. I'm done with you HAHA

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes, absolutely, all the time!! I know a lot of fic writing positivity revolves around that concept of 'oh, you shouldn't write for other people and be concerned about engagement; writing is a creative outlet for you' , and I agree with that mostly, but... Girl, I write for community. I want to find other people who share my thoughts and ideas and get to know them! It doesn't often work, but it worked with Pepsi, and that's one of the best things that has ever happened to me 💖💕💗💞💞💓

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

What's a fic I've written with an ending? HAHAH Honestly, none of them are really angsty to my memory, even those whose endings only exist in my mind (aka, a majority). I don't really enjoy angst as a genre; I don't personally have anything to say through its lens, so I tend to avoid it.

I guess you, with all your wretched longing is angsty, but like?? That fic is so messy and confusing to read. Great for me to write, but I doubt it's comprehensible to most audiences. It has to do with the more irritating thoughts I have around my own sexuality and shit like that, but none of it really bothers me HAHA They're just thoughts that I could imagine someone who is like me having, you know?

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Uhhhhh, prrrooooobably dip your fingers? They're all happy in my opinion, but that's the one I really threw all the joy and relief and pleasure I could muster into. So, yeah, probably that.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Nope! I'm a little too niche for anyone to bother with, I think :>

9. Do you write smut?

No, but not from lack of trying. I really do want to try my hand at smut, but I just get so self-conscious and shy about it HAHA Honestly, it would probably work really well if I just channelled those feelings into the smut itself, so fingers crossed I manage it eventually!

10. Do you write crossovers?

No, but I've thought of it! I admire people who can write it; I tend to get too caught up in the logistics of melding two worlds and protagonists together to ever get to a point of writing one.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of, no. Again, too niche.

12. Have you had a fic translated?

There was talk of translating two of my fics, actually! One into Mandarin and one into Spanish. I don't know if either of them got done, though.

13. Have you ever cowritten a fic?

Not officially, no. I've helped a few of my friends hash out story and character details over chat, but I don't count that as cowriting. I help where I can; the true work is all them, baby.

14. What's your all time favourite ship?

Not a fair question to ask. HAHAH I genuinely have no idea. I don't have very many ships that I ship in a lukewarm manner -- it's a lot more common that I'll get obsessed and throw all my love into it. I'd probably give this to one of my rarer/stranger/more controversial ships, since seeing Genuine, Earnest Support for them is so rare it gives me a rush of unparalleled joy each time, but I honestly couldn't say for sure.

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Literally all of them. I never start a project intending not to finish it, but I lose motivation or get caught up in life and work so easily, it just happens. The ones that are probably never getting finished as of right now are probably the BnHA ones.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Ummmmm I think I'm pretty decent at describing feelings and people. I've also been told that I have a solid grasp on most characters and their voices that I engage with.

17. What are you writing weaknesses?

Dialogue and action 100%. I linger way too long on scenes purely because idk how to progress. I'm a pretty poor storyteller that way lmao

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Trying to keep this within the sphere of 'for a fic' because I have a lot of big, real-life thoughts on this subject.

I think if you're not familiar with the language and have to rely on Google Translate to do it, just skip the step and say, 'X said in Y language'. I wouldn't run the risk of doing it and getting it wrong, simply because I wouldn't want to insult/embarrass myself to any reader who does know the language.

If you do speak the language and it makes sense for the character to speak it too, go for it. Not to get into all that real-life stuff I have thoughts on, but I would even say forego the English translation if you feel so inclined. Who says you have to cater to an English-speaking audience? If they care, they'll make the effort to engage with the piece; why should you have to do extra work to help their chosen ignorance -- and I'm getting into all that real-life stuff, so I'm stopping here HAHAH

19. First fandom you wrote for?

hetalia. don't @me. don't fucking @me i don't want to talk about it.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

I hate all of them equally, I mean what, who said that. HAHAH Okay, in seriousness, I find writing hard and painful. The only thing that feels comparatively worse is not writing because I do love it in spite of the grief it gives me. I don't really re-read my fics -- which is a poor habit, I know, because how will I know how to improve if I don't reflect -- so I don't know if I have any that I still love to this day as much as I did the relief it brought me to write when I did.

That being said, I really appreciate dip your fingers for all the lovely people I met through it's comments and for what it apparently means to people to this day. I get several comments telling me that they hold this fic very dear to their hearts and read it when they feel down. That's wonderful! I'm extremely touched and humbled that my writing can do that for people.

Also, perhaps because they're the ones I've written the latest, I love the concepts behind pinwheels and Empyrean. They're both fics I spent a lot of time considering and thinking about ages before I wrote a single word for them, and I think they both have something worth saying should I ever get the words out.
