Hmmm, IDK. I think if Pepper ever becomes evil it will be because of her deep trauma. Like in my og ask, I explained that she snapped; her house is destroyed, her boyfriend is dead, her other boyfriend is in danger, and now her sexual harasser calls her his prize. She just snaps. She’s broken and she can’t keep smiling anymore. So if Pepper doesn’t get a big hug, understand that Rhodey is suffering just like her, and finally gets to cry, it will personally feel cheap to me. Plus, although 616 Rhodey is somewhat motivated by vengeance, that doesn’t feel like MCU Rhodey to me. He’s too kind, too logical, too good for that.

Yes yes, I agree. Rhodey’s sort of terrified when she finds out it’s her because that’s so not Pepper! Pepper is the girl who listens to their war stories and says “oh no, that was really violent.” So... if this is Pepper... what happened to her? And will he ever truly get his girlfriend back?
