Someone plz support me in this, because I see so many people in the fandom making him the quiet, asshole, brooding type, and I hate itttt.

I get a lot of CRP fans haven’t watched Marble Hornets, but I think it’d be fun for more people to make Tim and Brian more accurate to MH in their Creepypasta AU’s.

Brian in Marble Hornets is so silly. Even when he’s being Hoodie, he’s still being mischievous and goofy! You can’t tell me he didn’t have so much fun making those ToTheArk videos, especially the one with the stop motion babydoll crawling on the floor.

ANYWAY, in my mind, I can’t really differentiate between CRP Tim and Brian and MH Tim and Brian, and I don’t really think it’s that bad of a thing. In my AU, anyway, Slenderman and the Operator are two different entities that are opposing, and Slendy saved the proxies from being mentally and physically destroyed by the Operator as long as they work for him. I think a big thing that ticks off MH fans with the Creepypasta-ification of Hoodie and Masky is making them work for the guy they oppose in the series. I like to think my AU fixes that, at least mostly. (And I do have more ideas for how Slenderman gets them) I just really wish more people made Brian and Tim closer to their MH selves, I need my silly man. 🙏🙏

Dude, wanna know something that’s always crucially missing from anything proxy/creepypasta related in this fandom? Walkie talkies. Especially with the proxies. Like yeah they’re in the era where they could use phones, but they’re in the middle of the woods and too broke for data. Yk what the best and silliest solution would be. WALKIE TALKIES.

Walk with me here…Kate barely speaks on them, Tim and Brian never talk on them at the same time because they’re always together, Spots/Theo(my oc who’s the honorary sniper and cook guy) only talks when he needs to know something, and Toby just says random bullshit sometimes to piss them all off. And not even in the “quirky silly” Toby way, in the fucking menace weirdo way.

Imagine, imagine:

They’re all on missions or separately in different locations(minus Tim and Brian), it’s sunset and they’ll all be home soon, and their only communication until then is their walkie talkies.

Theo: “What should I make for dinner?”

Toby(like almost immediately): “Sp-spaghetti.”

Theo: “Spaghetti?”

Toby: “Yeah.”

Kate: “…alfredo.”

Brian: “Tim said that’s fine.”

Theo(with a pause before and barely audible sigh): “Okay, on it.”

Most of them probably just killed someone for Slenderman again, but dinner’s soon, you know?

Like they were all struggling with communication issues for a long time, probably before Theo joined. Toby was pissed about it after another argument he stormed off from, going to their usual store in the small town next to the woods. He walks by walkie talkies, suddenly stops and stares as he gets an idea. He steals a two packs to have four of them and takes them home (admittedly, they break a lot and have to get a lot more than two packs after). None of the others are too obsessed with the idea of being able to hear the other three’s voice at any given time, but if it’ll fix their communication issues, then so be it—chaos ensues.

My creepypasta and schizophrenia hyperfixations are really coming out of the gutter with this one but I wanted to know if the general consensus is that he doesn’t have it, bc there’s literally nothing abt him that says he does besides “the voices inside his head” which is so vague and there’s so much more to schizophrenia than that so I really don’t think he should. That boy already has enough going on for his whole mind and reality to be altered even more by schizophrenia. Idk I haven’t heard anyone talk abt it and I lowkey don’t even remember if he ever had it or if I just made that up or if the creator didn’t even say it and people just said he did because of the voices thing?

To me, one of the things that sets Toby apart and makes him more unique is Lyra, and her death impacted him probably more than anything ever has. To just get rid of that is stupid to me. Like the solution to not wanting to write Toby being sad and grieving and stuff is not to just say that ‘Slenderman erased his past bc the sadness/grief would make him a bad proxy’ but like Slenderman/Operator literally caused his sister’s death??

There’s so much more potential in having a strained relationship with this entity you’re forced to serve and work for that you also basically know is the reason the only person you’ve ever felt connected to is dead. If you add that the same thing happened to Tim with the Operator and Jay/Brian, in the au’s where he’s a proxy to slendy after, it makes moments for those two characters to actually bond.

I love the idea in my AU that the Proxies (Tim, Brian, Toby, Kate + My OC Spots and like Jeff probably) basically rule over this small sleepy town in the middle of nowhere. It’s like a mix of midwest and southern vibes. Like technically they live and work mostly in the forest, but because of part of their job being to make sure people don’t get to close and monitor people the Operator has infected(and just the need for sustenance), they end up going into the town quite often.

Everyone in the town kind of knows they’re up to no good, but like, what are they gonna do about it, right? All these creeps roaming around at night with weapons. So most people just avoid them and just mind their business.

But the Proxies don’t really harm anyone anyway, unless they are ordered to or have to. Some of the towns people even know the proxies by name(or fake name)! Like the old mechanic that Tim and Brian chat with sometimes, or the server at the local 24/7 diner who has all their orders and drinks memorized by now, and the tired-ass gas station cashier who doesn’t get paid enough to deal with these murderers gorging on all their $1.50 hotdogs and buying a bunch of snacks all the time. But at least they pay up, unlike Jeff. They even sometimes do odd jobs for cash, because their demon monster boss doesn’t understand the concept of money.
