Most of my pens are vintage, but not all of them.
PenBBS makes some great and very affordable pens. I love the variety of plastics they use. That Smog plastic is a great twist on demonstrator pens! The white swirls remind me of the curling threads of smoke from a snuffed candle.
And they offer some interesting filling systems: I'm tempted to pick up a 489, which uses the Touchdown filling system originally invented by Sheaffer back in 1949.
The 308 is their basic model. It's a cartridge pen, but can be used as an eyedropper. Which is what I did with these.
I think my only beef is that all four pens I bought wrote very dry out of the box. They needed light tuning to increase the ink flow. But for the price, that's not bad at all.
