New pen, Jinhao DaDao 9019 in a striking vermilion, inked with Diamine Ancient Copper. Due to its big #8 nib, it has a natural springiness on the downstrokes.
Oh cool there's ink stuck between the inner and outer part of the neck of my Jinhao 100. Anybody have any suggestions for getting it out? π₯²

Jinhao 100 Centennial fountain pens
So many beautiful colors for a very reasonable price. You can typically get them for around $20 usd depending on color and website. I got the cracked ice sky blue one and put jinhao blue ink in it.
Super happy with my first retractable fountain pen: the Jinhao 20.
Clone of the Pilot Capless but only 3% of the Pilot's price
I got it with an EF nib. $6.79 AUD from AliExpress.
Nib dries out faster than a regular fountain pen with a cap. Go four or five days without writing anything and the ink flow is stuttery and scratchy. But rehydrate it with a droplet of water and it comes good right away, same as any other fountain pen. Saw a comment on Reddit saying this can be remedied with silicon grease around the trapdoor, so I'll have to try that.
Its converter doesn't have a huge amount of volume, but that's par for the course. Plus more frequent refills mean more frequent changes to your ink colour, so it's not all bad.
It's a super fun pen. Extremely worth the price. I love it.
