Pele 1.0 (resin beak) and Pele 2.0 (velvet beak) having their first interaction and it went surprisingly well. No squabbles or anything, just some preening and making noises at one another. Pele 1.0 was finished on April 12, 2018, so it's been a little over 2 years since I made the first version, and it was most surely time for a newer version to be made. I will say that I'll miss the clack of the resin beak, but I will NOT miss that extra weight lol.

Hehehe I finally tracked down one of a few vids I know were taken of my Pele puppet (Pele comes in at about 47 sec) while I was at FWA. The big blue kitty in the box is actually a friend of mine (Azure Skies) that had WAYYYYYYYY too much fun being a kitty in that box XD
Decided to toss the best shots that I took from before FWA into one file so that I could post it on places like DA and FA. SILL on the lookout for pictures & vids from last weekend, hoping to find a few of them that are floating about so that I can share all the fun :3
Pelepuppet is FINISHED and ready for FWA this weekend! She ended up a little bigger than life sized at 17″ tall and 24″ long, but that’s okay, she is a lovely birb with a clacky beak and LOTS of personality. Pele is a labor of love that took several months to make (check out the build posts), and now that she’s done I’m super stoked that she turned out so well! Hoping to get a video done later of her actually being puppeted so I can share her in action.
Decided to make a gag badge for #pelepuppet cause I kept calling her teaser pics on the FWA app 'The Void'. If tomorrow is nice, I'll try to take a few outdoor shots of the finished puppet

Shaving is to where I like it (thank you Kira for the loan of the clippers!), and the test placement of the eyes makes me happy :D! Sooooo glad I went back and got a bigger pair cause these are the perfect size. #pelepuppet is sooooo close to being done (and before my deadline too!)
A face is starting to emerge.... Taking my time with the clippers and going slow so I don't cut too much off at one time cause it won't grow back After I get done making a fluffy mess, #pelepuppet will be getting stitched closed on the bottom and then I can FINALLY add her eyes :D #soclose
