Months had passed and you, somehow, got to know more about William. Getting closer to each other. William was there for you throughout the day, skipped a few of his meetings (most of them actually), wanting to be with you, even making breakfast and dinner for you? Lucky. He, of course, still did his duty as a mafia boss but wanted to be with you more often than usual. William had gotten more interested in you, you were oblivious and did not notice. Of course, you had gotten interested in him too. Taking you out on dates, dinners, cafés, getting to see his headquarters, etc. Calling you pet names like a couple and caresses? Might as well skip everything and get into marriage.

“Good morning, prince.” He said with a subtle smile on his face. Sitting down on the bed and caressing your thigh over the blanket.

“Told you not to call me that...” You said, sitting up on the bed and rubbing your eyes to wake up. Adjusting to the sun’s light as it shone through the window. Sighing a bit before looking at him in the eyes. You were heating up a bit on the inside because of his touch, it felt like every single touch from the caresses were like flames.

“And I told you that I will keep on calling you those things. After all, they suit you.” He said, giving another smile. A much warmer one. You said nothing as your cheeks had gotten crimson red. William seemed to notice it and chuckled a bit. Reaching out his hand towards you for you to take it. Looking at his hand, noticing how rough it looked, him being a mafia boss comes with a lot of fights and responsibility.

Taking his hand in your soft hand felt like this was fate, meeting him was like fate. The love was clear between you two but you were too oblivious to know he loved you as much as you did. He stood up and helped you get up as well, leading you downstairs for breakfast.

As you had gotten to know him more in these past few months, you got to know that William was not as dangerous as everybody has been saying. He was not killing innocent and good people, he was actually trying to help this society. Even you had not believed in that at first... But he made you believe in his word by showing you everything he did and had to do. William was actually friends with the leader, CEO and a co-worker in the police department, William was actually killing and handing in criminals, drug dealers, stealers.. But a big problem was when it was a child that did those things. William would of course get angry but he would do anything and everything for that child not to go down that path and have a good, bright path instead. William would take the child and show him/her everything.

A quiet moment felt like a thousand words. Eating in silence felt like a thousand words. Sitting beside each other felt like a thousand words. William had made your favourite, waffles with whipped cream and strawberries. He had woken up early and went to the nearest convenience store to buy ingredients. He even cleaned your whole house while you were asleep. Took care of some “business” as well.

You wanted to ask him out right at that moment, but the fear of rejection was eating you up alive. William noticed something was bothering you and decided to speak up first.

“Hey, you good Y/n?”

You snap back into reality and look at him. You smile a bit trying not to show what you are actually feeling right now. “Yeah, I’m good!” You said in a calm tone to cover up the fear. William was skeptical and kept on asking you a few things without making it too overwhelming for you. 

“Is the food not to your liking? Despite it being your favourite.” He asked calmly as he took another bite from the waffle with the cream.

“A-Ah.. No, that’s not it! It’s really good, I promise!” You said, giving an awkward smile and laugh. ,,Your food is delicious because you make them, any food you make is actually delicious.” You thought to yourself, blushing a bit as well as you took another bite from the waffle.

“Then.. What is bothering you, pretty boy?” He asked, getting a bit concerned for you. You started getting a bit panicked. Should you really confess now or another time? Was this really happening? You had two big choices: you either confess or not. You could come up with a lie but he would know you lied and plus, he doesn’t like liars.

“W-Well..umm-” You got interrupted by his phone ringing. William sighed and excused himself, he took his phone out of his pocket and left the dining room. As soon as he left, you felt relieved. You sighed as you had gotten rescued from a call. But as you look at the chair he sat on, it made you blush. You look around to see if he is coming, he isn’t. You stood up and went to the chair he sat on, looking at it before sitting down on it. Kinda weird that you did that but you still felt the warmthness on this chair that he had left. It made you comfortable.

He came back into the dining room.

“Sorry, the phone call was about an upcoming mis-” He got surprised at what he had walked into. It was you wearing an oversized hoodie with shorts. He was not really expecting that, it made his face flush. Your face also got red because you did not expect him to come back and you never have shown this much to him. Where did you even find that hoodie and shorts? Right, you had a few clothes in the room beside the dining room. You didn’t know what to say or do so you decided to stop this.

“Well! I- Uh- I’ll be upstairs if you need me! Like always, do whatever!!” You said and laughed awkwardly. You ran out of the dining room and went upstairs in your room. William was all red and speechless still, being there left alone. You closed the door to your room and slid down, sitting on the ground. The door knocked and you got startled by the knocks.

“Umm.. I’m coming in, just letting you know..-” William said outside of the room. You quickly get up and go sit down on the bed. William came in and didn’t look at first but afterwards he did. Your gaze was down to hide your flushed face.

“I know this is sudden but I want to talk to you about something.” He said. “It’s about us.” He continued.

Eyes going wide and quickly looking at him. What does he mean ‘this is about us’? 

,,Did he get mad at me? Is he starting to get annoyed by me? No, I shouldn’t think negatively without letting him speak! Focus Y/n! This isn’t the time to panic without listening!”

“Oh.. Well, what is it?” You said, giving him a subtle smile. You certainly didn’t want this conversation to end up badly, so might as well want to hear what he will say.

William looked down before looking back at you, meeting your lovely green eyes that looked like the crystal fluorite. He looked a bit nervous but kept a calm demeanor. ,,Let me hope this does not go the wrong way and he would not misunderstand..” William thought to himself before speaking up. “I want you to know something, something very important and I would like you not to take it as a joke if possible.” 

You were waiting anxiously for what he was going to continue saying. Hoping this would be no bad news,

“I may or may not have... I’ll cut to the chase- I really love you, okay? I fell in love with you on the first day we met. Where you had found me shooting someone else. I know it wasn’t the best first meeting someone would ever want to have-” He continued. “But here I am, with you for the past few months, falling in love more and more with you. I know you're probably wondering why I fell in love with you.”

You were in shock but you let him finish first, you nod slowly to his answer, waiting to hear more. You felt kinda giddy and happy inside. The feeling of relief filled your body, you didn’t have to fear anymore about rejection... Because he was confessing to you, right this moment.

“I fell in love with you... Because of your personality. You truly are an amazing person. Your kindness and sweetness made me realize that you really are the one I would like to be with. Your cute, lovely, green eyes that look like crystal fluorite. Your cute freckles, your beautiful, fluffy brown hair- Your soft hands that warm my cold hands. I love you with all my heart.”

You felt your eyes swell up as they filled with tears. Is this what people call love? Love really can be amazing most of the time. Tears have left your eyes as they roll down your cheeks. You stood up and quickly went over to him, hugging him tightly. Burying your face on his chest as you kept sobbing-

Not daring to let go. He was relieved you didn’t push him away or decline his confession, hugging you back. His body heat got mixed with your own body heat, feeling each others warmth made it cozy and comfortable

“Then, I assume.. We’re boyfriends?” He asked with a soft smile on his face. You nod a few times as the sobbing didn’t stop. Looking up at him. He chuckled and smiled. “Stop it, no need to cry anymore, my pretty boy. I’m yours now and you’re mine. I’m not leaving you, wherever I go: I would love for you to follow.” He said as you kept looking at him, tears still left your eyes and down your cheeks. You were overwhelmed but in a good way. He cupped your cheeks and wiped the tears of your face with his thumbs. “Don’t look at me with those cute eyes, baby boy. You’ll make me want to kiss you.” He continued saying and smiled. That made you blush though and he noticed your blush. William chuckled again.

You mumbled. “I wouldn’t..mind getting kissed by you..” He heard it, it was loud enough for him to hear what you mumbled and it made him happy. Happy to see you not declining his affection. He moved his arms to your waist and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling your body closer to his. Taking one of his hands and putting it on your cheek. Leaning closer to your face as his lips landed on yours.

A sweet kiss.

Both changed into fresh and cozy pyjamas. He was drying your hair with the towel as you were sitting on the bed and him behind you. Not doing it too rough so he doesn’t hurt your head. He was humming softly and you were enjoying the after care. 

“There we go, all done, darling.” William said while putting the towel around his neck. You looked up at him and smiled softly. He looked down at you and gave a soft smile back, giving you a peck on the lips as well.

He went on the bed and laid down. Opening his arms for you to come and cuddle him. You blushed a bit and got happy, crawling over to him and going into his arms. Laying down in his arms, getting spooned. You kept your arms close to yourself and leaned your head to his chest to feel closer to him. He noticed that you leaned your head on his chest and wrapped his arms around your hips, pulling you closer to his body. You squirmed a bit before leaning your body closer to his. You felt his warmth and it made you comfortable and cozy. William caressed your back in small circles with his fingertips as you were getting drowsy. "I love you, hun." He whispered in your ear. You whispered back. "I love you more, baby.." Voice trailing off.. You were the first to fall asleep, and not long after: William fell asleep as well.
