Angeysona is so gay, whenever a pretty woman makes her flustered, her voice box starts acting up and makes the sounds of an old school computer booting up. It’s like her voice has blue screened and she can’t even talk to the pretty lady anymore, she just starts buffering and producing computer crash noises.

Nahhh, Angel could never be mad at Robin 🥺. She could tease Angel all she wants, but she would never get annoyed at the sweet, Halovian singer. Besides, I’m sure after her initial teasing, Robin makes it up to Angel by making her some sweet lemon tea for her throat. Robin takes care of Angel in the end.

This does make me wonder how Pearl and Herta would react to Angel/Angey’s squeaky voice though. I don’t think Pearl would react much. She does raise a brow at Angel’s awfully crackly voice, but she doesn’t comment on it and simply offers her a glass of water, maintaining professionalism. Herta on the other hand, is blunt as fuck. She’d notice Angey giving her the silent treatment while she works, and when Herta demands she speak up, Angey sighs and goes—

“mY vOiCe iS sHoT, mAdAme hErtA.”

LMFAO I saw this scene too. I was in complete shock because they brought up top and bottom dynamics, selfcest, selfshipping, shipping in general, I guess the writers of HSR are very aware of what their fandom is like 😭

As for anyone who actually “selfships” with Angeysona, I feel like there’d be a decent amount. She is a celebrity so ofc she has her own x reader tag on fanfiction sites. Although, iirc; selfshipping only involves shipping yourself with fictional characters. I know Angeysona is a fictional character to us, but in the world of HSR, she is very much a real person to those in the game. I think it is frowned upon to selfship yourself with a real person in the selfship community, as it can be considered parasocial.

Though there will be a category of “selfshippers” who do ship themselves with Angel regardless. Some normal fans who just consume fanfiction and do oshikatsu, and some who are…Constance.

I think Pearl would be an Angel selfshipper ngl. It is a secret hobby of hers and she does produce her own selfship artwork of her and Angel. However, since she can only replicate pre-existing artworks, when she draws it’s just replacing the characters with her and Angel 💀

Imagine Pearl painting the infamous The Swing painting by Jean-Honoré Fragonard for example, but the lady is replaced with Angel and the guy is replaced with Pearl. She keeps that painting hung up in her room I bet, Yao Guang accidentally saw it when she met up with Pearl in that one scene and was like “What is this…?”

Now this just gave me a brilliant idea. What if, while Pearl is giving Angel head, she records her moans and uses them as background vocals in some of her more spicy songs. So when a new track releases and Angel’s listeners hear the super authentic moans in the background, they wonder if Angel was just a really good voice actor, or if she was getting cracked while recording it. It was the latter lmfao.

Pearl feels a unique sense of pride when she hears the song for the first time, closing her eyes and nodding because she knows she was the one who helped Angel make those noises. Her head game was simply out of this world thanks to her visual recording of Yao Guang’s tongue. She’d have to thank her for her skills.

I really did not expect Robofish (I’m calling it Robofish as another name for Pearlgel) to pop off with the fishies LOL

I do think Angel and Pearl’s dynamic would be interesting tbh. Aside from Angel latching onto Pearl because of her aquatic appearance, I also think Angel will begin cracking at Pearl’s shell and getting her to see the “illogical” things in life. I imagine it is Angel who shows Pearl how to enjoy music with her voice, and this is a bit self indulgent; but as someone who enjoys nerdy hobbies like Pokemon card collecting, I can totally see Angel having the same secret hobby and showing Pearl her collection. 😅

Okay, Angel would never say that but she does get Pearl into her “stupid” hobbies the longer they interact with each other. Pearl doesn’t exactly understand the appeal, considering these cards are just printed pictures on cardboard (and the packs themselves are like gambling in Penacony), but she sees how happy Angel gets and adds her interests into her database.

Dialing back to the conversation of Angel using her bio-lights as part of performances, I was initially just taking the piss when I brought the idea up, but now that I'm seriously thinking about it, it could be really cool if she actually did use them to actually kinda like, slip subtle messages that relate to the song's themes in some way, as part of music videos, and perhaps some live performances of them, interweaving them with her moves on stage, even if only other Thalassians (or just people who are well-versed in their bio-light based secondary language) would actually understand.

Also I fucking adore the scenario of her using them as a way to sneaky a confession towards Pearl. It's such a simultaneously grand, yet also very private gesture to perform. I think PearlAngey's quickly becoming my favorite ship even though Pearl's only been here for barely a patch (it's probably mostly because they're both semi-aquatic beings, and I just freaking love love LOVE ocean/aquatic-themed character and just general race and cultural designs, they're always so stunning 😍)

ALSO, even though Angel’s bioluminescence would (theoretically) only be understood by fellow Thalassians and seafolk, WHAT IF the flashing language was basically Morse code, so anyone who knows Morse code can technically understand Angel’s flashing. I say this because I know that there are HSR characters who would definitely know Morse code due to their occupation or background. Characters like Herta, Kafka, etc. because I would like to see their reactions when they understand the secret messaging in Angel’s lights.

Also it would just be funny if only Robin was left clueless in what is happening. Other HSR women understands the hidden messages in Angel’s concerts but poor Robin is left asking questions.

Robin is so mad lmao. Time to start learning Morse code I guess if she wants to understand what Angel is saying. I know you mentioned you liked the hidden messages only Pearl would understand, so perhaps despite Angel primarily communicating in Morse code, when it comes to her confession to Pearl; she flashes in an old, ancient language that only seafolk would know. The other HSR women who usually understand her flashing during concerts, are left confused during Angel’s confession as only Pearl can understand.

Angel doesn’t even have any remarkable “assets” LMAO. She has flat boobs, a flat butt, thin hips, a scrawny build, honestly maybe THAT’S why Pearl likes her so much? I don’t think there are many robots in the universe who are caked up because there isn’t much need for it. The flatness is attractive because it reminds them of flat circuitry like chips and motherboards 😭

This is funny because Angel isn’t even a robot. She is a fully fleshed, born organic being, she just has a mechanical voice box that makes her sound like a robot 😭

Regardless, all the robots loving her because of her voice is so funny. It’s like they adopted her as one of their own. I wonder if her being an organic being only adds to their love for her. I’m sure there are hundreds of robot idols in the HSR universe because the concept of that seems very plausible, but a humanoid organic being that sounds like a robot but isn’t, is what makes them intriguied. I wouldn’t be surprised if Angel is a “human awakening” for many robots who realize they are attracted to organic beings LMAO
