If anyone can tell me how to keep the camera mostly locked behind you in "Tales in the Shire"??
I keep meeting it head on, so I can't see what I'm doing
Been thinking about how I should get a new computer for a while and might pull the trigger now that Black Friday is coming up and also now that I'm staring down the possible future of massive tariffs making everything more expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not really a PC builder, and I'd like something that could hopefully last as long as my current computer has (eight years) and has good specs for stuff like gaming and doing intensive work with apps like Photoshop
you built your own pc? damn I wish I could but it seems so scary lol… I have absolutely no experience with pc building and I’m not techy at all. I don’t wanna risk fucking it up so I’m thinking about buying a prebuilt 💔 I know people say they’re overpriced and not as good or whatever but anything’s better than my iMac😭😭 sorry that’s kind of random lol but I love your builds !! you’re so talented <3
nothing to be ashamed of if you feel more comfortable getting a pre-built over building it yourself, anon (: but i would 100% recommend doing a bit of research on a few sites so you know you're getting the best value for your money.
if you plan on purchasing a pre-built computer, try sites like nzxt, cyberpowerpc, ibuypower, bestbuy to get an idea of what kind of computer meets and exceeds the criteria for the games that you play / want to play. (i also recommend taking a gander on their 'same day shipping/same day ready' options since those are just waiting to be shipped out and already built) it'll then recommend you all the parts to achieve that. it will also tell you how much the estimate is for the entire pc, but before you decide to purchase it go to —
pcpartpicker & newegg to look up the prices of the parts that the first site recommended you in order to have a reference. of course, pre-builds/ custom pre-builds are more likely to cost more since they understandably factor in labor for putting the parts together.
the biggest pro i can think of when getting a pre-build pc is that the company you purchase from's warranty typically covers the entire pc vs. just individual parts like when building your own computer. i'm sure this was a lot to digest, but it pays to do a wee bit of research so you know you're not getting over-charged sfjgksndkg good luck, anon ((:
not rude at all, anon but let's just say ;--; my 2020 tax return went straight to it sdnjfkns ts4 with all my mods (93.9 gbs now wtf) runs between 2-4 minutes on first start up 😌
hey, yes i dooo (:
gta v
the witcher 3
cyberpunk 2077
days gone (it's on pc nowww)
horizon zero down
detroit: become human
red dead redemption 2
mass effect
dragon age
fallout 4
death stranding
ghost of tsushima (ps4)
tlou / tlou 2 (ps4)
i’ll add more when i think of the rest 🤔
GAME HELP NEEDED
OKAY SO
I reeeeally like Ark on xbox, and have easily clocked in HUNDREDS if not THOUSAND hours of gameplay. I still really love it.
I recently bought the Acer Nitro 5 and was wondering if it’s able to run or if it is worth buying Ark on steam ($49.99). I’m also looking for other game recommendations for survival/adventure/survival horror.
Here is my steam: silent_lunacy
Here are my PC specs:
i5-8300
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
8GB memory (I know not the best but ayeee)
1TB internal hard drive

Good for beginning players. Thanks Geek and Sundry.
Old thumb drive semi-works. Was able to recover data and get a new thumb drive to store it on.
Now I’m finding my CPU and Motherboard are having compatibility issues with Windows 10 update 1709. So instead of a new GPU I’m looking at a new Motherboard, CPU, and RAM because compatibility issues with windows 10 1709.
What do you guys think of this build?
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 1700X 3.4GHz 8-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Corsair - H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (do I really need a cooler, pcpartpicker.com says I do but I didn’t have to before) Motherboard: Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
So I'm looking at $617(Newegg Bundle minus the Cooler which is about additional $50-60 for a basic compatible one. If the Cooler is not needed I think I might jump on the Ryzen 1800X bundle that's $674)
Optionally: Get the same CPU, Motherboard MSI Tomahawk Artic, and Corsair Vengence DDR4 16gb for $621 after my employee discount. (I've always favored corsair, but it would be more expensive on newegg because there is no bundle deal with this combo)
All that for a price of a new GPU.
The following are the parts I already have that are still really good and appear to be compatible with the above:
Storage: SanDisk - Ultra II 960GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Video Card: Sapphire - Radeon R9 270X 2GB Vapor-X Video Card (It still works, it's just noisy) Case: Corsair - Air 540 ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair - Professional 850W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply Optical Drive: LG - WH16NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer
HALP
So I almost impulse bought a better PC because I want one and I’m currently playing on a laptop with a broken screen, a crappy old monitor and a mostly rerouted keyboard.... I just about managed to stop myself.
My current specs are Intel 2 Dual Core, 6MB memory and an integrated graphics card. Sims runs okay but not as fast as I’d like and lag get’s out of control too fast. My graphics are terrible.
I want a PC that I can use for work (so it needs to run windows) that will run Sims 3 faster, looks prettier graphically and can also do DA: I and other similar 1st person RPGs in full (pretty) technicolour. I’m not confident building my own and looking to spend no more than £800 (less if I can get away with it!)
Any advice?
I’m looking at a two lenovos, one around 550 the other at 750. They both have intel quadcore (i5/i7). NVidia graphics. *GB memory.
