John: [...] these yellow cowslip cheeks, are gone, are gone! Lovers, make moan: his eyes were green as leeks. So, not a word, not a word~

Heckler: *in a mocking tone* NOT-A-WORD.

John: (to the heckler) SHUT UP!

John: Not a word. Come, trusty, uh...

Paul and John together: ... Sword.

John: Come, blade, my breast imbrue.

(John stops to look at the crowd shouting.)

Before the Beatles looked like laughing bad little boys who had destroyed their photo shoot...

(This is from the amazing poet Mary Oliver, about her late partner, Molly Malone Cook. Oliver writes about an affair that Cook had in the late 1950s, shortly before Oliver met her.  Just substitute male pronouns when you read this quote, and you will see how perfect it is to describe Paul-after-John.)
