Yesterday I was shooting an interview on a documentary Iām doing about one of my favorite artists and the conversation went to the horses that were a big part of his work. It made me think of the tour I did of #faenamiamibeach this week. One of the restaurants #PaoĀ by #PaulQui has this Incredible unicorn piece by #DamienHirst called The Golden Myth. Hirst says: āā¦to cut open mythical creatures and expose them as no different to mortal horses is somehow still magical. Itās kind of like exploding a myth to make it real.ā Iām not going to get into what my film is about, but I feel equally about both artists work, their vision and truth expressed powerfully through their work. Hirst is arguably the highest paid living artist in the world (The Golden Myth went for $6 mill and the proceeds went to Leo Caprioās non profit). Letās just say Iām super excited about doing the documentary about the artist of the film Iām working on. Power is measured in many ways.
Oh and hopefully soon Iāll get to eat at Pao!
