More images stored on my external hard drive: Photos of the RSC’s production of “Wolf Hall” and “Bring Up the Bodies”.

These were fun, though I remember Thomas More being played more like what I imagined Norfolk would be, really loud and blustering - but that aside, I enjoyed them. I do regret seeing them In London rather than at the RSC in Stratford as most London theatres are those old Victorian set-ups where the cheaper seats are in the stratosphere, and since I am poor and was up in the Gods, I spent the whole time squinting down at the tiny figures on stage - whereas even in the bad RSC seats you aren’t too far away from the stage.

Ben Miles played Cromwell (with a very Cockney accent, a bit distracting). Paul Jesson was Wolsey, Nathaniel Parker King Henry VIII, Lucy Briers was Katherine of Aragon (as well as doubling up as Jane Rochford) and Lydia Leonard was Anne Boleyn.

Films Watched in 2020:

Kate Mosse interviews the cast of the 2018 revival of Michael Frayn's Copenhagen at CFT’s Minerva Theatre, starring Charles Edwards, Paul Jesson and Patricia Hodge.

At the start, you hear some applause, but this is not because the actors have appeared (although they do show up about 2 seconds later with the host). The reason for it is that the audience have just spotted Michael Frayn, the writer of the play, silently stroll into the auditorium. It’s a very sweet moment. (The host gets her Michaels mixed up though, thinking the man was Michael Blakemore the director and not Frayn, whoops!) 

Also apologies for the quality. Overall it’s not bad, but you do hear some rustling and muffled noises, which is likely coming from me, I’m sorry.
