this was definitely my favorite one yet!
Logan was stuck. Stuck in this stupid castle. Why, oh why, can’t I be free to do what I love? Logan was the prince of his land, and naturally, had incredibly overprotective parents. They had seen him getting hurt playing soccer with the local merchant boys once and haven’t let him out of the castle since. He could still hear his guard. “Young prince, you mustn’t leave this castle.”
Suddenly, cutting through his daydream, came a lovely tune. He looked around, trying to figure out where it was coming from. It got louder, and he figured that it was coming from outside.
He got up from his bed and looked out of his window, then saw the source of such a lovely voice. It was a farmer, tenderly planting seeds in his field. His heart stopped. The farmer was... oddly cute. He was short and chubby, with pale freckles dotting his face. A mop of golden hair shined from under his hat.
Logan looked away and walked back to his bed, his face flaming. He was absolutely smitten. He thought he heard a noise coming from out the window, and he willed his cheeks to go back to its normal shade.
He looked out and saw the farmer boy waving up to him. Logan felt all the air leave his body. He called out, “Hello. My name is Logan. May I ask yours?” The boy grinned and responded, “I’m Patton!” God. His voice was even cuter.
They conversed for a few minutes, before Logan was called down to lunch. “Patton, I must go. Can we converse later?” Patton smiled. “Of course, Logan! Good-bye!”
Walking away, Logan couldn’t stop thinking of Patton. He had never broken his parents’ rule of staying in the castle, but he might have to. Just this once.
