Before I go ahead talking about anything, I'd like to let you know that none of this is confirmed. These are just stories I've heard from friends, and I thought they fit the thing you've been researching about.
Apparently, in Eastern Europe, this thing was sighted in Crikvenica, Croatia. Story says that a couple of guys lost control of their car, and flew off the road.(Nothing new here, Croatia is known for shitty roads.) As in the previous stories I've heard, they almost ran over a deer, what it seemed. They called 911 as one of the guys had a broken leg or something, and the car was stuck in the bushes.
One of them happens to be my friends cousin, Yura, who is most likely the only one that got away. He said he limped his way back after a few days, appearing literally on his doorstep. I've personally seen the guy, and he looked like he got attacked by a wild dog, or some shit like that. The car and the rest of the guys, were never found. found. But the thing that connects them to the so called twigs is the description of the thing. I've compared it to the stuff you've posted on your blog, and the stuff I heard, and it's kind of similar. I don't know if it's the same thing, but I thought I should mention.
I might get you some pictures, or documents regarding the incident.
